Saturday! I went to lunch at the Peninsula Excelsior Hotel with Pingy! We went as invited guests of daddy because there was an educational movie screening. The food was so so I think. Not the best, but can't complain. I just wont recommend it for wedding dinners or anything to that extent =x though their sticky rice, shu mai and dessert were pretty good =D

    Foods!

Food aside, the movie was pretty educational. Its about the hidden history of Singapore. Maybe a little bit biased, but definitely a wakeup call from the illusions all Singaporeans are taught. After the movie there was some drama when plainclothes cops came to take the movie away, reason being- the movie wasn't approved by the Singapore censorship board or something. The cops were just doing their job but looked a bit stupid. They always just repeat over and over whatever is written down on paper that they're sent for with no reasoning, no intellectual answers to questions and pretty much seem like they've never read a law book in their life. They basically do things because its the way it is. After they had taken the DVD away, they came back for the dvd player and even the projector. lol what the hell.

Police interruption #1 (the guy in the black shirt and woman on his right)
My hero Dr. Chee's sister because shes very strong willed lol
The MC inviting the cops for lunch but they declined
Police interruption #2 (they wanted to take the DVD player and projector lol)

    See the movie here!: click

Anyway, afterwards, Pingy and I walked in Marina Square and Suntec. Apparently I haven't been shopping in a long time! but the great Singapore sale is on sooooo I shall put better efforts into shopping ;) hehehe

On the way, we did stop at Peninsula plaza to walk around and explore a little bit. Apparently its like a mini Myanmar!! They had travel agencies, food, people and even sold vegetables there. And while meandering, my love Pingy donated to the Myanmar disaster relief fund =D awwww!! So if you want to help out, you can do the same! Good deeds = good karma!

We had dinner with Wayne at Just Noodles. Its a Korean restaurant with a refillable flow of drinks, Ice cream and for Pingy...rootbeer floats. LOL Food generally is so-so there but food always tastes nicer when you're eating with people you love!

ying yang ice cream we made! LOL

After dinner I met Youcef who wanted to drop by to his friend's birthday celebration at some wine place at Chinatown. The place was pretty cosy, basement and all- it felt kinda nostalgic for me because I use to hang out at places like that all the time lol. Though....everyone was speaking French -.-"

We missed the last train home and had to take a cab. God damn it! they really need to extend MRT hours!! how troublesome!!

Today we celebrated mother's day!! Because my family can't get our schedules to cooperate until now. lol We had dinner with grandma at Bee Heong Palace Restaurant at Raffles Place. Its definitely chinesey-chinese speaking staff, pink table cloths, panicky service, but surprisingly clean restrooms!

    The Fam

The food was pretty delicious! I definitely recommend going there. We had fish, claypot tofu, roast chicken, hot n spicy soup, shrimp, appetizer mixed dish and black hokkien noodles. Everything was plate licking good! (expression disclaimer: Pam doesn't lickk in public) The only thing I do not recommend is the tofu, its rough and tasteless. *burp*

    Appetizer platter!! yumm!
pig-like brother (but I think he lost some weight)
tofu (looks god but doesn't taste good =x)
noodles and shrimp in the back =D~~
pomfret cooked in 2 ways (theres like 5 ways available)
    soup!
Their tea cups are pretty awesome (upper right hand corner)
    Its oval shaped!

After dinner, we walked to the Fullerton Hotel for dessert and Drinks! I had a cheese cake!! *loves* It was super nice! and so was the ambiance and service! *happies*

Daddy and Bro at Boat Quay
    Sissy poo and me =D
haha I'm like a whole head taller!!
    mommas!
    my cheesecake!
    hah! I'm getting predictable!!
    mud pie
too rich for my tastes -.-" but delicious nontheless
    Sissy's tiramisu!!
(I didn't take her with the cake because I want my readers to enjoy my blog, not be terrorized by it! bwahahaha!)
    me and Grandma
    a very interesting flower arrangememnt
    The parental units!
    Daddy had a Singapore sling.
Pam thinks its an "ok" drink. Very fruity ;)

End note: My Youcef won't do my laundry ='( He'd rather it be troublesome for me to carry clothes back and fourth! humph!!!!
