Before I start this post, I want to express my most sincere condolences to Phy and her family because her grandma has passed away on Sunday afternoon. She was 81 years old.
Friday night I went to Orchard with Kevin and Phy! We wanted to go to Orchard Towers to see Kumar's stand up comedy show.....only we were a bit late and the pub was full house :( LOL We went to get a bite to eat at the Kopitiam near Cineleisure instead.
I went to MOS with Char, Jo, Ivan, Denise and the rest of the gang on Saturday! What can I say, I don't look for action, action looks for me! LOL While we were dancing on the platform at Smoove, these 2 really ugly malay girls tried to squeeze on the already full platform too. One was twice my size with the ugliest red patch of grass matted on her head and the other looked like she just jumped out of my T.V. from the movie "The Ring". Neither had any makeup on and were dressed in 3/4 shorts, plus a hoodie. gross. Anyway, the large one tries to pull her friend up and Denise kinda shoves her and says that theres no space. (OMG I'm hanging out with a bunch of undercover ah lians! lol) So the malay girl gets angry and starts punching my friend who starts clawing and pulling out her hair. OMG! this is the first time in Singapore I've ever seen a cat fight! Quite interesting though we all know I'm not the violent type, so I start dragging Denise-who was ready to break the girls nose- away.
I guarantee you I looked a hell lot better than this picture shows -.-"
I believe all the guys were looking for a bouncer or 2, but not even 1 came! Which was actually pretty shocking because I thought MOS had a lot. Maybe they had some budget cuts or something. Can you say INEFFICIENT?! So being a bunch of mature people, we continued dancing with 2 people in between Denise and the hooligans......until they started purposely hitting Charlene with their vigorous dancing. WTH....real mature guys, real mature. Poor Charlene with a recent back injury took their abuse-until they started hitting her head. Then we called for a bouncer. One of the guys had to go all the way out to the entrance because not one bouncer was in that room!
When we finally got a guy, he asked all 5 of us girls out to tell them what happened. The moment I saw the other 2 girls in the light I almost laughed. Yea, I know whos side the bouncers are most likely going to be on (--,) So we just explained what happened in a really calm manner while the other 2 mobsters were shouting vulgarities and abuses in really bad english. (Take note folks: when you want people to listen and believe you, do not start shouting vulgarities and talking like you'd want to pick a fight with them too) LOL So given the choice, but not pursuing the matter, Charlene (poor thing with a bump on her head) and the 2 girls had their names recorded by MOS. dun dun dun!!! (Denise's and my IDs were not taken due to our unimportance and my innocence 0=) hehe though I did offer to get my bag and the bouncers face was pretty much priceless when I told him my bag ticket was in my bra. HAHAHA)
Denise, Charlene and me!
Anyway, the rest of the night went on without much of a hitch. Charlene went to Zouk, Denise went for a Movie and I joined my 4 guys back in MOS. lol I should really club with guys more often. They had surrounded me, giving me my own little space so no strangers can talk to me. hahaha I have to give some commendations to the ones who tried though. One kept smiling at me until I stuck my friend in between us. Then the stranger tries to push my friend away and was like "Do you mind?" My friend said, "I don't mind but the girl does" hahahhaa priceless. Another guy was so skinny he slid through to stand and stare at me. Thats not the worst part. He stood there also to belt out the lyrics to the song-sometimes wrong lyrics, sometimes mumbling the ones he didn't really get. OMG Note to the guys in the future: NOT HOT. And when the woman stops her dancing to mean glare at you, get out of her space. Don't wait until she has to stick 2 guys in front of you so you get the message.
Sunday! I woke up early to hear bad news from Phy. Coincidentally, her grandma's funeral is at the pavilion right outside my house (because her oldest uncle lives in the block behind me). I went to Tampines Mall for some xiao long bao with Gerald, Yao and Honey! Conversation was very......interesting LOL. And we checked out the Aloha chalets for Honeys upcoming birthday! woo hoo!! Pam votes for number 8 Honey!!!! LOL The rest of the night was spent at the funeral downstairs with Phy's cousins. Apparently, its 5 days long.
watching the chefs make our xiao long bao! me and my soup :D noodles! hungry yet? free face steaming! lol Honey and I eating Ice cream from McDonalds lol
Burning paper with Phy and her cousins for her grandmaIt is believed, that the paper has to be burned picture up. If not, it won't be received and is just a waste of paper.
Sunday was also Ba Chang Day! (Dumpling festival day) We had so many bags of dumplings this year, all handmade by my Aunt Nancy! *yummm* As usual, I had mine with more rice, less meat! hehehe So, happy belated Dumpling day! I hope you all had your fill!
Pingy came over on Monday! We made dinner and spent the night with Phy =D I got pretty good at folding the paper gold! hehehe plus some good karma points for me!
Today (Weds) was pretty uneventful. No club because we were at the funeral. They burned the mansion and gold I folded though :D RIP Phy's granny! Pingy did point out something important the other day though.......if everyone has such a big house and so much gold, hell must have inflation!!
lol the cutest kitty who slept next to us while we were taking a break! Mj! I'm getting better!
I did find out something interesting today though! My nickname (Shopaholickk) in chinese is written 苏扒好力克 姐/妹 (direct translation, is super horlick! ) And Pamela Tan is = 陈慧贤! Love it! (Compliments to Danny and Pingy)
Mystery of the week: Apparently, a few of my brother's sucker fish are missing from his fish tank. (3 fish in total I believe) No one has admitted to taking them away! Daddy cleaned the tank in hopes the fish were stuck in the decorational log or filter, but they're just gone! missing =0 If you have any information, please call 999 immediately. (My suspicion is they just escaped like in finding nemo and is somewhere swimming free in the Singapore sewage system :D Check your "New Water" bottles! (FYI on New water: click here)
Finally, tis the season I guess. To everyone who feels down, love lost or whatever, hang in there ok? You're not alone (really, the mark is damn high this month), it happens to everyone at least once, there will be karma, life is not over and I still love you! Communication with your loved ones is important, ask and you shall be answered. Have faith in people :) There will be an up season too, I promise =D Until then we partyyyy!! (Note: requests for "gossips" will not be entertained. If you even ask, I swear to god you'll be the first person I'll talk about.)
