    Busy Busy week! Busy as a bumble bee! Bzz If you like, but don't sting me!

    Last Saturday was the start of my ever happening weekends! Phy and I went to Jerry's birthday lunch! We had Shabu Shabu with him and 2 of his other adorable friends! Apparently I thought Shabu Shabu was the style of eating Japanese hot pot, but then this restaurant also named one of their soup bases "shabu shabu". Out of 3 soup bases we could choose from, 2 were flavored and one was plain water. When we ordered the 2 flavored soup bases, the waiter asked us, "oh, so you guys don't want shabu shabu?" which was really confusing because- again, I thought it was the style of eating. When we realised he was talking about the soup base, we clearified that we didn't want the glorified plain water base. Gee, such a fancy name for plain water! I call my water Aqua then!

    the man helping us prepare our soups at the table

    Anyway, lunch was great. There was a free flow of thinly sliced meats (Jap style of course!) and vegetables! The only thing I would complain about is the 80 minute time limit they give you to eat. So pressurizing!! (though we did gorge our faces with plenty of time to spare after lol) And the fact the waiter seemed hesitant- almost stingy- with the meat though its freeflow, constantly with a shocked expression of how much beef we'd ordered and reminding us that wastage is chargable at $5 per 100grams. Also, ice cream is a dinner item though dinner is just $3 more expensive and the ice cream is the cheapo soft serve kind. Ohh well!!! I would totally still go back!

    After lunch we rolled on over to Andersen's ice cream! Yumm! we had a fondue! I can't believe we could down it all! *burps* I freaking love ice cream! If only I could afford the calories everyday =(

    Birthday boy and Kenny!
    Side note on diets: I read one of my friend's facebook status updates saying "You've only got one life, Don't live it just on salad!" And I have to say..........Amen!

    After dessert, Phy and I parted ways with the guys to go shopping for Sheryl's gate games for her wedding! We walked all the way to Plaza Singapura only to find we could get half the stuff we wanted. Its so strange....everytime we think something is easy to buy, its so hard to find! and everytime we don't need to buy something, its everywhere!!!! roarrr! Anyway, we totally bought amazing ears to wear for the day! *loves*

    We walked to orchard and then took a train to Toa Payoh Hub to pick up some groceries. Then we wanted to take a cab to Sheryls place and had to wait a freaking hour!!!!!!!!!!!...................only to discover we could've walked there in 5 minutes as it was a 3 minute taxi ride. WTH. I still feel stupid about it. This is what happens when "east siders" venture to the north! What an interesting night....enough said. LOL

    Sunday the 31st was Sheryl's wedding day!! Yay! we woke up super duper early to prepare the gate snacks. We had eggplant, wasabi/bittergourd on a cracker. bittergourd suffed with chili sauce, lemons and a couple drinks. We answered the gate with a few....mishaps, but everything was really fun and jolly! Sheryls now-hubby is so sweet! lol

    After the groom "got" the bride, we headed over to his place (as tradition), saw her off in the bentley and trailed in the bridal entourage. His family was...lets say...much happier to see us. LOL They were friendly and welcoming. We had a good lunch and played with the most adorable dog in the world. There was a tea ceremony I'd ever only seen in pictures and videos as this is the first chinese wedding I've ever attended (like not with my parents type thing...last time i went to a chinese one was when I was 12!). Verrry interesting (--,)

    We headed back to the Sheryl's house after the proper rituals had been done for second lunch and the changing of dresses. However, half way her zipper broke and they had to go to the dress store to get it fixed....I took a much needed nap! hehe! People always told me weddings were tiring....I didn't believe them till now!!! When she got back we headed to the Chalet they were holding the buffet reception at. That was fun too. The food was nice, people were happy, thats all one really needs in a wedding right? =D

    I went to Chinatown with Lev for a quickie on Monday. The place is already packed. I think this year Chinatown is super budgety because the decorations aren't as nice or elaborate as the pervious years. But I still love them! So pretty! I bought a bunch of snacks and decorations!

    luckily we went early and it wasn't so crowded!
    decoration shop!
    the street!
    not so fancy this year lol

    It was so stupid.....I went up to a store and asked for the character we hang upside down for luck. (I'm sorry I can't read chinese as I wasn't brought up in Asia!!!! jeez) And the man was like "oh we have no such character" and "where are you from" I told him I was from Singapore and he refused to believe me. FINE. But even if I don't look like it, or sound like it, im 100% sure we have a character we hang upside down! So Lev tells him I want the word "Fu" (luck or wealth). We got into a small bickering state in which he was like, "oh well then you can hang any character upside down" and "oh you're not supposed to hang it upside down" and I was like..."actually, I'm pretty sure you are". So the man finally asks the old chinese couple next to us if its supposed to be hung upside down and they were like yea you are (because if you hang it upside down the wealth "falls on you"). So anyway, I buy the sign and on my way out the guy was saying "ohh you don't look chinese" and I was like "ok" and he continues with "if anyone saw you they'd guess you were malay"............omg...............he didn't have to push it that far! I strongly suspect HE wasn't chinese!!!! roarrr!!!! Ohhhh Chinatown, whatever will I do!

    I will have to go back soon...my family has ate 3/4 of the snacks already and theres still 6 days till Chinese New Year!!!!

    them automatically eating all the stuff I'd just carried home :o

    I finally got to meet my Pingy!!!! Phy and I had dinner at KFC Orchard while waiting for the Pingster to come shopping with us. She showed up with her colleague. LOL.......Anyway we had good shoppings. I got a top (whaaat its tradition to get new clothes for Chinese New Year I swear!!) because there was a sale! Love it! And later second dinner after the stores had started closing. hehehe I love you Pingy!!!!

    Febuary 3rd was the boyfriend's birthdayyy!!! We had a webcam dinner date. LOL *sigh* the distance! (but I think/heard/know he'll be back....alright!) We made lasagna which apparently isn't an American dish but we do it oh soo mcuh better =p Anywayy I wanna wish my sweetheart a very happy (and kinda belated for this blogpost-but not really because I wished him like 50x already on the appropriate day) birthday! I love you even though you're an old fart in your "late 20's" now! hahaha

    baby opening the package I sent him for his birthday!
    he tries one of the polos on while eating cake (--,) hahaha
    Love you!

    I had an Ikea trip with my aunt and little brother! We went to look at bed and stuff but ended up buying everything we probably don't need lol. We also went to courts and Giant grocery store. Courts's (appliance store) staff is absolutely horrible. They stand around in little groupies chit chatting and doesn't seem interested in serving you unless you're buying a giant tv or living room set which they can earn comisson off of. We were looking for an ironing board cover and found a random one in the middle of no where, but it wasn't the correct size. All I wanted to know was where the entire rack of covers were so I could choose one to buy. Apparently, its an almost impossible feat at Courts. We were pushed back and fourth between people, "talk to the people in the blue shirt", "ask someone in the black shirt", "ask that man over there", "Its not our department" etc etc. Good God! can't someone just point me in the general direction at least?! Finally this "ah-beng" of a man helped us-without even knowing who really he was talking to because he was looking around (god knows for what) the entire time as he said, "do you know what size your ironing board is?" to which I replied, "no not really but im looking..." He cut me off clearly not interested saying, "oh well I would reccomend that you go home and measure your board and then come back to buy a cloth from us because we don't have a lot...(of choices)". I felt like telling him off with, "Yea, if I go home and measure my board the last thing I will do is come back here to use my money to buy from your store to support its employee's (specifically his) distasteful choice of hair color"......instead I didn't utter a word and walked away. No point in wasting precious shopping time talking to him.

    Ikea dinner!

    Anyway, the rest of my home appliance trip was fun. We got 95% of everything we went out for and then some (--,) I freaking love grocery shopping in the middle of the night. I have no idea why. LOL

    I'm so freaking cute you don't even know! LOL

    Friday was dance class. I think im getting better ;) woot woot!

    Finalllyyy after the longest time, I partied with Simon!! We went to Desmond's "screws and nuts" party. LOL The event started at Dirty Nelly's Irish pub. When Simon and I picked our screw and nut out of the bucket with many screws and nuts of different sizes, our chosen ones totally matched!!! and it was on the first try!! Can you say meant to be?! love it! Also, while drinking our beers, we were standing and chatting and I put my drink on the table next to me. We have no freaking idea how, but the next second I turned around it was gone!! And no one around us saw anyone take it! It must've been one super-sneaky beer theif!! Anyway, I kinda sorta told this waiter about it and asked if he'd taken my beer by accident. He looked super confused but got me a new one for free! I'd say its a winning situation!!!

    After abit of time at the pub, we headed to the Supperclub for the main event! Free entry and 5 drinks for the ladies! woot! amazing! The music was freaking awesome! -better than the last time I was there and the floor was packed. Simon and I met some really interesting characters and I even met a guy studying in my hometown! Best night in a long while! Plus one for the consecutive Lady gaga and Britney tracks (pretty much the only ones I really remember from the night LOL) by the DJ! loved it!

    Australia: your bra tag is sticking out let me help you fix it!
    Wisconsin: *Gasp!* now you can see my cup size!
    Australia: Hmmmmm (--,)
    Wisconsin: How about you make a Guess!
    Australia: Ok, I'd say its a 10C???
    Wisconsin: Uhmmm no, close! juuust a little bigger.....10D!
    Australia: REALLY? I didn't think it was!
    Wisconsin: yeaaa I sometimes try to make them look a tad smaller.
    Australia: *GASP!* Thats like slapping God in the face!

    ......................Phew! Thank goodness I'm not religious! LOL

    me and Simon in one of our....lets just say......better pictures! LOL

    Gross things that happened:
    • We ate at Mickie D's.........................twice! (once inbetween partying, once after!!)
    • I had stuck my hands on something black (maybe cigarette ash, maybe the floor, maybe some spongy thing over a fire hydrant, maybe the beds at supperclub) and got it all over my hands and didn't realize until I was eating an ice cream cone during Mickie D's: Part deux.
    Note: A Fucking chinawoman stole my lighter!! She asked to borrow it and then never gave it back. I asked for it as she passed later and she waved goodbye as if I'd just wished her slutty self a good night with the old white man twice her age she was with.....Sayonara my beautiful purple lighter!!

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    So, theres this fun thingy that went around facebook recently, that asks you to; Go to ubandictionary.com, type in your first name and copy and paste (the "game") as your status and put the first entry of your name under the comments......this is what I got:
    1) PAMELA is usually the craziest of the bunch. quite often has a variety of different laughs, and can perform them all on demand. everybody loves pamela, the type of person you always want to protect. she is a flamboyant driver. loves make up, clothes and accessories.
    oh pamela's coming. I can't see her but i can hear her.
    2) PAMELA (is) The pimpest of the pimp. Everyone wants to be a Pamela. Can conquer anything. Wakes up and pisses excellence. Indulges and rules in all gangstativities.
    Your never meet anything above a Pamela, because it doesn't exists.
    Man: Pamela you are so amazing.
    Pamela: I know, i don't know why, it just keeps happening.
    3) PAMELA means “loved one.” And she is. A TRUE Pamela rarely uses the name “Pam”. Loving heart, the qualities of a goddess, gift giver, encouraging, friendly, fun, loving life in all its forms. But suffers from foot-in-mouth syndrome. She is "the real thing". Loving each step in her life.
    Pamela feeds wildlife. Collects friends. Plans for the future.
    hehehe!!! I must say it is soooo true!! Who knew Urbandictionary.com freaking fucking loves me as much as I love it! (On a side note, the urbandictionary.com book Tanya bought me for my birthday a couple years ago doesn't have the funny or scandalous slangs in it! *gasp*)
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    Pam's words of wisdom:
    • pubesent teenagers who cannot control themselves or their errections, should never where white, semi-sheer pants.
    .........................................scratch that. NO MAN should ever wear white, semi-sheer pants!
    • Some people need to first get over themselves before they can get over other people *rolls eyes*
    Pam's self diagnosis: Sleeping beauty illness (illness most likely goes for Phylaine too!...birds of a feather!!) Article Here

    Pam wonders why its more expensive to go see the Taj Mahal than to visit the great wall of China in Beijing....=/
