    Hi guys! I've been sooooooooo busy! I moved to the West side!!!! (of Singapore of course!) Theres been alot of viewing (I think I went to commonwealth mrt station the most times ever in my life), negotiations and finally moving in! We got a really good agent. His name is Philip and he seems like a very friendly, straightforward guy with the best interests of his clients- which is more than I can say for other agents *names shall not be mentioned* that we met. So anyway, we found this great master room at Pandan Valley condo. Don't judge a book by its cover! I sure did, but in the end I fell in love with the newly renovated inside! heehee. The living room and 1/2 floor kitchen/dining room are wonderful too. The only bad thing we discovered today is that theres a lot of walking and busing if we want to get out of the compound for food or whatever! We have to go all the way to clementi interchange! I guess thats why there is a doctor, dentist, grocery store and beauty shops among other things within the compound. LOL Anyway, I've been meaning to put up this post for a long time, but didn't have time for pics till now!! *gasp*

    Lets see, fun things we also did in the past 3 weeks!

    Henrik brought me to Applebees for dinner to celebrate him getting a job here!! yay!!! I missed Applebees so much! I can't remember the menu exactly but I'm pretty sure its like 99% close! It sure tasted like home! The food was fantastic! (except the chicken wings were a tad undercooked but I didn't send it back cuz I was too hungry) The portions were big!!! I think everyone should go try! *loves* Next stop, TGI Fridays ;)

    yum!
    super delicious everything!
    my mexican chicken!

    Henrik tried the fried fishes that come with Nasi Lemak that my mom makes. It was very nice! Daddy taught Henrik to eat the head because its supposedly so crispy but I still don't dare!!!

    We played life with my brother and sissy one day. He had the updated version (updated meaning more recent than the version I had 15 years ago when I played life) and I had no idea that life got so complicated!!! phewwww!!!! First credit card monopoly and now complicated life!

    We had shisha with Grace, Dom and Gary one night. It was so fun! I feel so old when we talk about the old computers we had and oh how technology has changed!!! We ended the night at Therisa's new apartment near Newton Circus. Lovely place but very hot!!

    We also went to IDS one day to find out that the Singapore restrictions for "visitors" are stupid (or at least not as hard/complicated as the countries we're use to). They cannot extend a visitors visa, but they can just give you a new time limit if you step out (say malaysia) and step back in. Well the problem to why there are so many illegal workers and prostitutes have been solved! Its so easy to be in this country! I know both the US and Denmark has a maximum of 90 days per 6 months.

    Anyway, afterwards we had breakfast at Starbucks! Yum! I love the cheese bagel and scones :D

    That afternoon I met up with Phy, we had a good lunch/snack at V8. Its been so long!! Anyway, I also want to wish her a happy birthday! This is her month and I hope you have many more wonderful years to come! Love you!

    Jayce made my family a Korean dinner of bimbimbap one evening! Its like mixed vegetables in rice with a sweet/spicy korean chili sauce. YUM! Trust me, it was better than any Korean restaurant I've tried! Next I want kimchi soup and kimchi pancakes! muahahaha!!!

    tada!
    The last dinner I made at my parent's house was pan fried herb chicken with pasta and stuffed shiitake on the side!

    On moving day, Henrik and I had to drive back from east to west twice. Phew! I had no idea I had so much stuff! And I took up 3/4 of our closets. hehehehe. Theres still some space *brows* In the evening we went to Ikea with daddy, Ian, Grace and Taco. I think Singaporeans must be insane to go to Ikea especially for a meal. It was the most crowded I've seen any Ikea in my life! people were fighting for tables and queuing for food. Ikea doesn't even have that great food! At least none you can do better yourself, save for the chicken wings. lol People make me laugh.

    mooooooooving!
    Ikea!

    We got some fun stuff though. I had to teach Henrik all about bedding lol. Oh you boys, theres much you need to learn. He still doesn't understand why there are so many layers to a bed. Now incase you're reading and you don't know either, I can teach you!

    • First you have the mattress. Pick the most comfortable in the store (I prefer something mid-soft with an extra layer of sponge on the top).
    • Second you have a mattress protector to cover your mattress. This layer protects your mattress from dirt and water to make your mattress last longer.
    • Third You have the fitted sheet with your choice of color!
    • Fourth You have the loose sheet that is usually of the same color as your fitted sheet but instead of sleeping on top of it, you sleep under it.
    • Fifth you should have alight blanket that is usually tucked in with the loose sheet.
    • Sixth you should have a comforter or duvet for a more plush/comfortable look.
    • And finally, seventh there should be a long quilt to cover the end or begining of the comforter on the topest layer of your bed!
    *Sometimes if yo have a bed frame that doesn't touch the floor, you can get a bed skirt to cover the first mattress.

    *pillows are easier! You have the ones you sleep on (covered) and pillow shams. Pillow shams are just covers that cover normal pillows but are usually for display purposes or decorative items. Then there are small decorative pillows (Under $5 at Ikea!- without cover)

    *sigh* I never in my life expected to hit up GSS (Great Singapore Sale May-June) for furniture and house acessories! BUT we did get some very good sales! And are now Tang's members! LOL We got curtains for $20 (after discount), King Koil King sized comforter cover at 40% off! (Which turned out to be $85 and a Tefal Pan $135 cuz it ws 20% off! hehe I know it sounds a little crazy, but I'm in love with the deep dish pan! It conducts heat 4x the regular pan, it has a spot that tells you when it's heated cuz it turns bright red, non-stick, heat resistant handle, has a handle type thing-but not really- on the other side of the handle so I can carry it if it's heavy, comes with a lid, and the lid handle can turn to release or maintain steam!!! I'm impressed + happy!

    tada!
    living room
    bedroom (just for the first week)
    bathroom!I had no idea how much lotions and junk I had until I moved lol But my Christmas Exchange present came in handy!
    dining room!
    kitchen

    We had our first guests on Thursday! Nichelle, Pingy and Damien came over for dinner! We also baked some chocolate fudge cookies because of Damien's and Nichelles 1 year anniversary, so congratulations to you both! Fun times!

    guys fixing the tv
    *loves*

    Heres a random shopping day at Plaza Singapura and I got my favorite dessert at the food court! I think I's called mango sunrise, and its the most delicious thing everrrr!!!

    We saw Shrek 4 Forever After with Levyne and Lun at Suntec! It's such an amazing movie!! Better than 2 and 3! I can't remember the last time I sat in a movie and laughed from start to end! LOL It has the most adorable characters and such a wonderful lesson to teach. "Appreciate what you have, because you don't know what you've got until it's gone" I loved the fat kitty! and "Hand me my angry hair" Pam's movie rating 4.9/5!

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Shout out a big congratulations to Sophie and Mads for their new baby girl!!! I can't wait to see her when we visit Denmark again!
    I still miss my phone :( I can't wait until next month when I'm allowed to renew my contract and get a new phone!! I feel like a part of me is missing :( I hope the person who stole my phone has kids and grandkids who's crotch will be forever itchy and their arms too short to scratch!!!!! I have nightmares now about my phone because the temporary one im using is not exactly the most working phone ever :(
    Pam's toast theory: Toast was invented as an excuse to eat butter! *loves*
    WOW time flies fast! Its already May!! I wish someone had told me how difficult growing up would be!
    April is the month for Momma's birthday! She refuses to tell anyone her real age, so I'm sticking her under the catagory of "Forever 21"! Anyway, Daddy went to a conference in Jakarta so we took her out with Aunty Joyce on the 14th. We had a very nice dinner at Vienna Seafood and Teppanyaki buffet! That place is fawesome! I think it's pretty much worth the price looking at the variety of food we get. All the Seafood, roasts, Teppanyaki and desserts! It was Henrik's first time eating like this! (Seriously, I have to bring this man to Vegas where the buffets are cheap and endless! LOL) The only thing I didn't like at Vienna were their juices. I know buffets do things to earn more than people make, but...come on! it tasted like watered-down puke. Stick to soda, those are free flow too!
    momma!
    ian
    aunty joyce
    henrik
    sissy
    A great thing about Vienna though, is that they have fresh oysters as part of their buffet. Of course as a high demand item it disappeared rather quickly. It was rather amusing as I passed the oyster section once to see the waiter putting on fresh oysters (they only take out like 8-10 at a time- I'm guessing to control the ammount people eat and they ammout the restaurant can afford) as the customer next to him pick them up less than a second after they'd touched the ice. LOL
    momma and her puff pastrychocolate fountain
    chocolate fountain aftermathjuice shots!
    thomas the tank engine! lol
    buying a CD! hehe look how long my dress is!
    During that same week, Henrik's friend Louise came to visit Singapore with one of her girlfriends Ditte. We took a night to show them around! Starting off at Chinatown for dinner, they tried all the local foods that we liked. I must say, the Danish people I've met that came to Asia are braver in trying different foods than I am!
    heres when I thought the poster was touch screen through my sunglasses. *sigh* who knew terminal 1 would be so low tech.
    Then we walked to China One at Clarke Quay for a drink. They had this Tiger Beer promo/competition going on. You buy a pint of tiger and try to finish it in 5 seconds for a gift and an invite to a Tiger beer free flow party. Henrik finished his pint in 15 seconds LOL! But he got the prize and the invite anyway ;) More beer training needs to be done!!! The prize was a cute Tiger beer glass with a round bottom (So you can't put it down unless you finish it) mounted on a stand. Almost exactly like the double glasses Henrik's mom had given him and Jimmy for Christmas 2 years ago but those were much bigger. LOL
    Anyway, we finished up and headed to Boat Quay's Eski Bar for another Drink. The bartender there is muchos friendly! With a McDonalds snack inbetween, we visited the Merlion- the one tourist spot tourists should not miss! Finally, we ended the night at New Asia Bar! Good times! Pics up if i ever get them! we totaly forgot to take any!
    My Boyfriend bought me Kussen! LOL A body Scrub and a lip balm! Its funny because its an Australien brand of Beauty products but in Danish Kussen means "The Cunt". *gasp!* The products are pretty good actually, the coffee srub is fantastic and smells fantastic. The lip balm melts really easily- I guess Singapore's weather really shows with vegan and nut free products huh. LOL *love you Skat!*
    Earth Day is on April 22nd! To celebrate, the post musem had a special event where we could paint our own canvas bags! Can you say recycle?! for $22 we get a bag, paints and some snacks. A little pricey, but fun! I painted elepahnts- my favorite animal! hehe! The event was much smaller than expected but the people were nice....some were just....interesting lol. Now I can grocery shop and save plastic!!! woo hoo!!
    start?
    my sweet sweet elephants!tada!
    We ate at the Soup Restaurant before picking daddy up at the airport! That was fun!
    sissay
    henrik is excited about olive leaf rice
    Henrik and I caught the long awaited (in Sg at least) Shutter Island! It's such a fantastic movie! Leo has had some good choices recently! The movie is such a captivating psycological thriller with a crazy end twist. Pam's rating is 4.8/5! I'd highly reccomend it to everyone!
    Grace and Taco came over to make dinner again one day! Our theme was red wine! We had a shrimp and dip appetizer, red wine chicken pasta for the miancourse and red wine pear pie for dessert! All of it was fantabulously delicious!!!
    pears in red red wineee!~~
    gross "bacon" that didn't taste like bacon because I didn't know the one we buy pre-packaged was smoked, but daddy told me was the same *bleah*
    the men caught not doing anything!!!!
    dinner!!!!!
    guys doing the clean up!!! muahahaha!!!
    After everyone was all full, we went down to China One to party!!!! On the way we took the Circle line for fun! The stations are very pretty and trains very new. Other than that, nothing much. Not like its faster or anything. Its just so people would have to take the bus less I guess. LOL Talk about bo liao, but hey, we tried it! hehehe!
    old train
    new train!
    It was such a great night! The boys got their beer, the girls got our dance on! I have high suspicions that Salitos beer is Corona in a different bottle. Aka- bad beer. If Pamela says the beer is bad, it must be REALLY bad! But its the people that make parties fun! I've always liked China One for its range of activities, soccer, smoke, pool, dance. Its all good!
    supper!
    There was a Dam outing. Nothing special there as usual, but the ice cream man seemed friendlier than usual lol.
    So, we went to Giant one day to get some groceries and I was taken aback by the cereal aisle's labeling. Under "kiddy cereals" they had all the good tasty chocolate, sugar coated cereals!!! And under "Adult cereals" it was all the gross "healthy" kind!! Well, I think grown up cereals or not should be for the eater to decide!!! I dont think frosted flakes have an age to them! Who is a grocery store to judge what is adult and what is not! Pffft! The only time any cereal should be labeled "Adult cereals" is if they came with "free porn inside!"
    I wrote a poem for my favorite cereals:
    Ode to coco pops,
    your taste is forever pleasing
    I would eat you anywhere
    the thought of chocolate is so teasing
    Ode to sweet sweet frosties,
    you make my sugar levels soar
    I would give anything
    to hear tony the tiger roar!
    I do not care
    if you are not "healthy"
    even if I have to walk down the kiddy aisle
    and be stealthy
    Side note: I also found toffifees! I had no idea they had them in Singapore! Best chocolate/caramel/nutty treat ever!!! YUM!!!
    We (yes, finally not just me) had a sushi craving! And we went to Nihon Mura with Dom, Grace and Pingy! Nihon Mura has really gone to the dumps I must say. What was once one of my favorite stores became somewhere I probably won't be going to for a long long time. The belt was pretty much repetative and empty and had all the cheapest sushis on it. When we asked the "chefs" to make the selected sushis from the menu, they were grouchy and super ah beng like. *Shivers* Plus they didn't have half the items on the menu available! And to top it all off, the plates are no longer 99 cents, they're $1.19. Sure 20 cents is not much of a difference, but I forsee the downfall of Nihon Mura very quickly at this rate!
    sake! (How do you know which is the cup and which is the lid?? LOL =x)
    pingy!!!!!! *loves*
    Me and my peoples went to Mad For Garlic at Suntec one lazy Sunday. It's this new restaurant in which pretty much all their dishes have garlic in it. I thought the dishes were not bad at all! The pizza is definitely fawesome! as were the starters and salad. The rice was very interesting too. Talk about a new tasty experience! I would give the pastas a miss though. We had a very spicy tomato based one and a lobster pasta. Neither of them are good enough to give a second thought about. The tomato base was so spicy I couldn't taste half the rest of the food later. The Lobster pasta is pretty much a cream base and a waste of lobster. The service was speedy and friendly which is unusual for Singapore and the price came to about $20++/pax. I wouldn't mind returning for a good pizzza once in awhile. Website Here
    We then drove over the new bridge next to the casino to get to marina barage. The bridge is very pretty. Many people were flying kites (at night!) at the marina Barage. With the reflection of the city lights the sky there is pretty magical. I want a kite now!!!! hehehe
    So, we had brunch with Simon one day at raffles city. I had the bestest time catching up! Afterwards, we went for a little shopping! I had to pick up some tweezers (which I never found) and eyeliner. On the way, I discovered some blackhead patches. I've never really had a blackhead problem before until recently when I started noticing them, so I decided to give the biore pack a try! (Plus the boyfriend has them too and has never really taken care of them) We went home and used them! (Henrik refused to take a picture) They actually really work! You stick the patch on your wet nose (with dry hands) for 15 minutes. Then you peel it off from both sides. On the patch would be all the blackheads you couldn't physically take out and then the ones you didn't even know were there! Love it! Henrik's patch was so much more covered than mine! Oh you men, you should all definitely start taking better care of your skin!
    I finally met jayce for dinner! We went to ECP lagoon! *loves* the food there is always great!
    So we went to Timbre one Friday night! As usual that place was very happening. The live band was terrific and the drinks were all good. best of all was the company!
    Last Saturday we had a jacuzzi night! But before that we had dinner with my family.........at Little India! grosssss! I hate indian food and all its spices. (I will maybe only eat prata, but the store my dad likes doesnt serve prata) So I watched while they ate and afterwards daddy brought me to the dim sum store at Deskar road. LOL Pingy says I'm weird to go eat chinese food at Little India, but I can't help it! The last time I tried I had an allergic reaction in which the bottom of my jaw swelled up for 4 days! So anyway, it was still good! The staff at that place must be blind though....they can never see when a customer wants something unless its to order more or pay the bill. Afterwards, Pingy joined us and we went to yet another eating place (I wouldn't call it a restaurant- I have standards) for her fav Indian food.
    We shopped a little at Mustafa and spent the rest of the night at the wonderful jacuzzi with Nichelle and Damien! Love that place! good times!
    my dim sum lol
    Random Pic:
    hehehe I thought it was so cute sleeping there when I went across the street for lunch once.
    Attention People: My hero Lady Gaga did NOT get her leg amputated. It was a parody/joke/mockery, whatever you want to call it by the DailySQUIB. I can't believe how gullible people are and how quick to judge others on facts they don't know properly. You're all stupid idiots. I thought at least half the world's claim to English is supposed to be British educated and you can't even catch on when the "paper's" title has the word SQUIB in it. Pffft, I'd better not hear anyone ever criticize my lack of the letter "U" in certain words and my American english. Ever.
