Hey guys! It's a 2 week update!!! It's been rather busy! but busy with fun!!! We had Ravin and Dj over for dinner. It's so coincidental his aunt and grandma have houses at Pandan Valley. LOL I think they were the only ones who didn't have a problem getting here! They got to try my delish Lemon meringue pie I baked! *happies*

We had a house warming bbq one Saturday! It was wonderful! there were 8 of us, a good group size in my opinion that everyone can talk to everyone! There were kebabs, hamburger patties, chicken wings, shrimp, hot dogs, etc! Yumm! I love bbqs! I love the pit area, there are many chairs and tables so everyone can have a seat with space (unlike ECP where like 8 ppl can sit) and patio umbrellas so we don't have to worry so much about the weather! Good times, good people! *loves*

My pastry took me to dinner at Holland V one day when I was bored of the compound lol. We ate at Thai Express! (My membership ran out last month though :( I want new!) It was fun. Maybe its just me, but people in the area seems much friendlier than other places!

On the subject of dinner.....WE ATE SHARK one day!! we were at the grocery store over the weekend and saw they had shark steaks on sale. Henrik said we should make some, I said HE should make some! I don't know how to cook shark! I've never ate shark before (minus shark fin)!!! I didn't even know they sold it at the grocery store! So being the adventurous people we are, we bought it. Henrik found a recipe online and we had it for dinner! It's actually super delicious! Its like a fish steak and there are no bones except one in the middle. The meat is uber tender! Yumm yumm!! One more tasty animal to check off my list!

On another Saturday, we went out to dinner with Gilda, Kenneth, Lun and Levyne! We went to Plaza Singapura as it was somewhere central for all of us who were parting ways after. Lev and Lun had just gotten back from Taiwan and they came bearing gifts!! It was so cute! They had bought candy that came in packages that looked like condoms and sanitary pads. We were totally fooled by them! Henrik more so, because poor man can't read or understand the chinese on the package! hahaha! They also got him a t-shirt and me some star leggings! *happies* Thanks guys!

The food at The Manhattan fish market was as usual- dismal. Noisy like a race track, skimpy on the appetizers, overly oily fish and fries. Huh, reminds me of the reason I hadn't been there in like 4 years. I feel bad for people who havn't had better and want to celebrate their birthdays there =x Just saying. At least my food wasn't as bad as Henrik's baked or grilled or whatever it was fish. I'd rather make my own =x And the fried shrimp still had their heads on! WTF! If theyre going to bread something, dont leave the head on cuz its not going to be crispy on the inside (they're just trying to make it look bigger than it really was)! Silly people, cooking is for chefs. Good thing I was eating with my loves which made my experience wonderful anyway!

Afterwards, we went to St. James with Taco and Grace cuz Taco's sister and brother in-law were visiting from the UK. Nichelle joined us abit after. We had such a great night! The boys went off to one of the clubs to drink beer and watch soccer, while us girls went to Powerhouse to dance! They were having a Henessy event there. I can't believe how boring the corwd was. The guest MCs (both singers) were trying to get the audience pumped by shouting "Singapore scream!!" and "Raise your hands up". No one screamed....no one raised their hands up....Well, exept for us of course! LOL we will entertain when no one else will! I think It didn't help so much that there were like cameramen all over the place hovering over party goers. ew. Anywayy, it was a good night! All good nights end with McDonalds!

Henrik and I went to an SDP bbq on Tuesday! (Yea, super weird day to have it, but whatevs) It was super far at the Tanamerah Natonal Service and Country Club (NSRCC). But the chalets are nice! very wide and comfortable! And there were a couple nice activities to play. We went bowling with my brother, sister and cousins! It was pretty good. Henrik won most times but I highly suspect its because he's stronger (--,) hehe. I had fun, but I must say, I can definitly throw a better bbq =x Oh, and I freaking rock at Time Crisis 2!

So, I've been itching to go to Wendy's reallly badly since they arrived in Singapore but something always came up and I never got a chance to. So the other day while taking the bus, I saw a Wendy's on Orchard! So close to my house now!!! Plus a Shiraz sharwama store near Forum! But I wanna see if the Wendy's is as good as it is in the US! The jr bacon cheeseburger (oh sweet Jesus let this chain NOT be halal for once!! all the good fastfood is ruined in Singapore because of muslims!), chili, salads, baked potato!! I'm getting hungry just typing this! And I hope- but strongly doubt they have $1 chicken nuggets. But even if they're not, if I remember correctly- they're the shizzle too! Anyway, we did attempt to go on Wednesday, but it doesn't open until Monday :( I seriously think some uncontrollable forces are trying to prevent me from going!! Good thing I've always been a rebellious child. I WILL go to Wendy's!!! ROAR!!!! Though Wendy's had let me down, my cheeseburger craving continued to be persistant. Even Henrik had his heart set on a burger! We decided to head to Burger King! He had a whopper and I had....2 burgers =x WHAT!! I was hungry!! I had a whopper and tried a BBQ turkey bacon single. The whopper was as good as always! But the BBQ turkey bacon single was gross. I should've known when they said it was turkey bacon, but it got even more disappointing when my patty had bbq sauce slathered all over it. I wanted to be like "hi, can I get some meat and bun with this sauce please" If they're so cheap about the maynaise, why can't they be cheap about the bbq sauce?! Anyway, burger craving was put down! (minus Wendy's hehe)

LOL to be fair, a regular Whopper is .5x bigger than one of my jr burgers!

After dinner, my pastry wanted coffee, so we went to The Coffee Club for dessert! Their muddy mud pie is fawesomeeee!! vanilla but really chocolately coffeeish mixture of ice cream on hard brownie with chocolate sauce and chocolate dirt!! YUM!! Can't imagine a better dessert!

Henrik and I recieved a Huge package in the mail one day! It was from his parents! I seriously have the sweetest in-laws in the world! Not only did they send us the stuff we left in Denmark and now needed, but they sent us presents too! And not only did they send us presents, they sent our neighbor's daughter some danish chocolate too!! I finally got my Danish recipe book back and will make use of it! hehehe I also got a beautiful reusable event calendar and more danish chocolate! hehe! Henrik got socks and even more Danish chocolate and licorice! Love it!
