    Post's Trail Mix Crunch!

    Hey loves!
    Today I want to share with you my Post's cereal experience! As most of you mat or may not know, I've always been a Post cereal fan! It started when I was younger and my parents wanted a healthier choice of breakfast cereals for me and my sister. Back then, it was Honey Bunches of Oats for me! As I grew older and moved away from my parents, Post Cereals continued to be a part of my life. I absolutely love their "Post selects" line with their wide variety of flavors! I especially love Banana Nut Crunch and Blueberry Morning, be it for breakfast or just as a snack ;)

    The other day as I was in the grocery store, I came across Posts Trail Mix Crunch. I became trapped in a dilemma! I wanted to try the new cereal, but thinking about how much I love my Posts Selects Blueberry Morning, I didn't know which to bring home! My curiosity for the new Raisin and Almond Mix overpowered my compulsion to take my usual home.

    Early Sunday morning, eager to try out the new cereal, I poured myself and my boyfriend (also a Post convert) each a big bowl. WOW, Post never fails to amaze me! Every crunch was like a burst of flavor in my mouth! There were generous amounts of raisins, almonds and my favorite little granola chunks! All of that laced with honey for that light sweetness in my bowl, which always starts my day off well. True to Post's nature, the Raisin and Almond Trail Mix Crunch also is an excellent source of whole grain and fiber. Plus it has no saturated or trans fat....aka: good for my diet! hehe! I recommend it to everyone and anyone who wants to start your day off feeling healthy and happy!

    Hellooooo September!

    So, we left off the night before Taco's birthday!!! We had a good dinner at Marche! Well good because of the company. They still pretty much have shitty food at an overly expensive rate. Plus the small selection of drinks, none which are actually Swiss! and still its self service! phew! Anyway, we still had good desserts at least!

    the boys!the girls!
    mango cheese crepe (i had better/can do better =x)
    Taco and his cake with added Royce chocolates from us! hehehe!
    present from grace!! Super Happy boy now :D
    Afterwards we headed to Dbl O for cheap drinks! It was my first time actually in the new one. I recognized some of the staff and some of them recognized me! *gasp* The new establishment's layout totally reminds me of the Nightclub City game on Facebook. LOL totally one floor, 1 long bar, VIP seating, wall sitting and random sitting in the middle with a small dance floor. Meh, I don't like this one as much as I liked the old one with O bar on the ground floor. The vibe is different, as is the crowd! The guys seemed to have a lot of fun though! They KEPT ON DRINKING! Not only did they finish an entire bottle of johnny walker, they polished off beers, 7 jugs, 2 waterfalls, 1 jagerbomb each AND shots of tequila! good times ;)

    The boysthe girls!
    four boys, one jug!
    LOL
    Jager Bombs!
    awww b day boy and his woman!
    who is apparently a really big fan of early tequila shots! LOLwaterfall!more!having wayyyyy too much fun!
    *loves*

    HENRIK WENT TO KOREA FOR A WEEK (professor sent him for some work- though it seems like they partied more (--,)) SO I GOT TO PARTAAAYY!! Plus I had a full king sized bed and blanket to myself and a clean (woman level of cleanliness;)) bathroom!!

    Jayce and Nichelle were sweet enough to come down one day to cook me dinner! We had roast chicken and kimchi soup! I had the most scary night ever! First I almost died when I was crossing what seemed like an empty road at Clementi interchange (after being left alone on one side of the street because I was being nosy, watching a dispute between some soldiers crossing the road and a man who did an illegal u-turn and almost hit them), when a bike who came out of no where missed me by a yard!

    THEN, when we got home, there was at giant cockroach that molested my foot and made me cry :( When Jayce sprayed it down with bug spray and told me it was safe to come out it got up and ran! I hid in the room for like 10 minutes while my lifesavers killed it :( Drama!! Apparently my housemates (evil north Koreans) wouldn't have known or cared if I had actually died because I screamed bloody murder twice and they didn't even come out of their room to see if there was any issue.

    To top the night off, when I unwrapped the chicken and brought it to the sink to rinse, its head dangled down!!! I was so shocked I threw it into the sink!! WTF who leaves the chicken head on the chicken!!! It's so gross and scary! SERIOUSLY, why does Asia ALWAYS have to be the strange, disgusting ones?! Why?! No one wants to see the head of the bird they're about to eat! We're guilty enough as it is with the calories! Theres no meat on it to eat anyway and I would hardly call it decoration! Jayce was kind enough to cut it off for me and put it back on the chopping board for me to season. When I turned it around ITS FEET WERE STILL ON IT!!! OMG i almost fainted. Yes, I've seen chicken feet at a restaurant before, but its a whole new heart-stopping experience when you see it twisted up in your chicken! I was only half surprised that my chicken was actually gutted....and maybe even less surprised to learn that they sell the guts for more money after. Anyway, from now on, frozen chickens from Carrefour from now on. They're so much cheaper and clean with nothing to worry about! Even their fresh chicken won't stare you down as you stuff it!

    my chicken with no heads involved!
    kimchi soup!!!

    Anyway, the kimchi soup was awesome! And we had a good girls night anyway ;) *love yous!*

    Went out to party for Dom's birthday on Wednesdy, AKA "Dom's super sweet 16"!!! We had a gathering at Sushi Tei, my favorite sushi place! And we bought him 28 balloons for his 28 years! lol well, we were planning to go to Zouk's mambo night afterwards and said he could give away his balloons- BUT only to girls with their names and emails so he could tag them on facebook with a picture. He also got a halo and wand, not to mention tricked him with a cupcake, but really had a big tart for him! Best part was his candles "Birthday Girl" LOL He didn't get ANYONE'S name or email, but hey, at least we got a few pictures!!

    Tada!! 28 balloons!!
    Surprise!! your cake!!not to worry, we got a bigger one! lolone of the victims!bah, 2 easy ones, they had no where to run!wooo 5 birds, 1 stone!
    Official bubble blower!birthday kisses!Photos are all compliments of Lynx! :D
    heading to mambo
    sticking out like a sore thumb! hehehe!

    Zouk was super fun (surprisingly for me)! They had free rollerskating from 9-11pm now! So we had dom try for his first time! I tried my best to help, but the smallest skate size they had was 2x bigger than my foot! Fun times! Simon came to join later with his friends and t became the most epic mambo night ever! I think I know a few of the moves now (--,) Anyway, I hope Dom had a great birthday because I had a great Dom's birthday!! I finally remmebered how much I like to party! hehehe

    roller skating!!!
    me and Phy!mambo!!!!
    *happies* I'm an angel!Dom and his friendsme and EddIE

    Thursday I went to the library to finish up some things and met Phy for a quick snack and walk around at Bugis!

    I went to orchard on Friday with Simon for some shoppings! We were later joined by Susanna and Tiia for dinner :D I STILL super love the beef noodles at Wisma Atria! Laterwards, we tried to hail a cab for at least 45 minutes at orchard, even calling one but was unable to get one! Seriously? 10:30 on a friday night I understand, but there are more than 30,000 cabs in Singapore! Don't ever tell me cab drivers are doing bad business! humph!

    We ended up taking the train to Queensway and lo and behold we couldn't get a cab there either. So we decided to be smart and take a bus down, soon to discover we took the wrong bus! When we FINALLY took the right bus, had the longest discussion on where to get off and where the bus was going with 2 other people and got off, we had spent about 2 hours getting there!!! Plus we had to walk up a big dark shady road. Jeebus, if you're going to pick a location for a goodbye party and want people to attend, don't pick the most random location in the city! just saying!

    Anyway, Villa Bali is actually a pretty nice place to chill out. It reminded me of Bali (ok, I actually haven't been there but i would figure something close, kinda like the outdoor bars in thailand I'd been to) with all its chairs and foliage. Nice ambience, expensive food and drinks. Well, normal bar price so it's all good!

    Read more about Villa Bali on thier Website: Little Bali!!

    I ended the night with Lev, Lun, Dom and Yangs at 3 Monkeys, Holland Village. Seriously, their potato skins are freaking amazing! Its stuffed with chili or something. And it'd been sitting out for quite awhile before I got there and it still tasted good! I will defintely go back for some more!

    Saturday was my last "big night out" without Henrik (teeheehee) so I started the morning with Ikea Queensway lunch, accompanied by Simon, Tiia and Susanna! Of course the first people we met were Swedish people also on exchange. LOL Anyway, lunch as awesome as usual ;) I got some more herring for the pastry!

    Simon came over later in the day for some pre drinking. Yes, we polished off the bottle of Malibu! But I still have 2 more bottles of vodka! We went to the bridge with the rest of the people where we met the Swedish again and did more drinking! Everyone is so sweet! I did bump into a few wierdos, one particularly who was german, white and was a total wigger! He literally stood next to me, crossed his arms and looked me up and down with his eyes narrowed, gangsta style! He even walked with a big swagger! I haven't seen such a funny one in quite awhile! I thought these people were only seen in the TV! Simon and i spent the rest of the night at Zirca with Sofie and Sandra. Its pretty much like the old MOS but has another entry because they made the RnB part a new club, "Rebel". Fun Fun times is all I can say!!

    My street corner bitch!Eric and Me!

    boob adjustment!me and my favorite Kiwi!girls at Zirca!Sandra made friends with a couple of sweet random girls in the smoking room lol
    Simon and I at Rebel!
    Super drunken sofie lol
    Sandra got carried by a random kiwito McDonalds and flashed the restaurant. Then Simon unknowingly chased the other Kiwi away! Only 1 fab kiwi per territory!

    Read Saturday night's account in Swedish HERE!!

    Sunday I had lunch with Simon at Holland V before we parted ways. Daddy and momma came to pick me up at about 6pm to dinner at Suntec's Swensens (Ugh, I know but it was not our choice). We were having dinner with Susan Elliot and some of the SDP member. Susan Elliot, if you have been keeping up with the news, was invited by Singapore's MOE to speak at a conference because she was Colorad's Teacher of the Year 2009 (and one of the 4 finalists in the Nation's teacher of the year). She was later uninvited when the organizers discovered that she was deaf. MOE later reinvited her again when they were sent thousands of letters of disapproval from the American public and elsewhere stating a "miscommunication". They apparently also asked for her to tell the public to stop the letters. Whether she did or not I didn't ask (--,) But there's the power of group voice for ya ;)

    Read more here: Ramkumar's blog, SDP official website, Trappers Swamp and The Online citizen

    Anyway, it was a good dinner. A lot of signing, but very interesting! I guess there has to be at least SOME perks to having your dad be in the opposition party to the PAP. lol

    We finally picked up my Pastry after a 1.5 hour delay!! He bought me many many things in Korea! As much as I dislike Korean people due to our bad luck in housemates, I must say that it looked fun!!

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    To celebrate my pastry's homecoming, we went to dinner at Holland Village the following day! (Ok, it's really because Levyne gave me a 50% off ramen coupon and I had a ramen craving so wanted to go muchos badly!) Yummm!! Seriously, Yoshimaru has the best ramen ever! Its Hakata Ramen and it had these marinated fish roes that I loved oh so much! We had the moridakusan ramen (which means "everything") and 2 mini burgers. One terriyaki chicken and one char siu. Both were extremely delicious! Seriously, crunchy, fresh, flavorful! I hadn't been to a ramen store that I love this much until now! And they're totally affordable with the average price of ramen ($10-15) and about $3 a mini burger! hehehe if you don't go, you're missing out!
    grinding my sesame seeds!
    char siew mini burger!! YUM!
    Chicken Terriyaki deliciousness!
    my 2 loves!
    We also had a public holiday this week for Hari Raya, a muslim celebration. Though we are not muslim, we find any excuse to party right?! We went to Geylang Serai with Dom. Geylang Serai is like muslim central as Chintown is to Chinese people. So they had the biggest night market I'd ever seen in my life. In the couple years I've lived in Singapore, I'm amazed that it was my first time there! There was nothing we really needed, and nothing that I'd ever want to buy from there so we found many delicious snacks on the way. The famous Ramly burger was incredibly good! It totally changed my perspective about Ramly burgers! we also found these new twist potatoes which is litterally a potato carved out in a spiral and placed on a stick, battered, deepfried and seasoned with flavored salt! Yummm they're super delicious! There was also fried shrimp donuts, fishball on a stick, bird's nest drinks and carnival games!!
    part of my dinner! Yum!
    never ending row of food!look at the ammout of cheesy poofs they eat!!! waahh!!!
    never ending tent filled with clothes stores!
    favorite snack of the night! Korean invention of twist potatoes! A potato is carved in a spiral (very much like the apple ones), put on a stick, battered, deepfried and rubbed in seasoned salt! YUM!!
    me pastry got one! (cheese flavor)
    one for me Domi- I mean, Mr. Pringles man
    muslim people must really like flowers cuz there were a lot of these stores around
    the lights on the street! love it! (the chinese ones are always much nicer IMO =xx)
    Tako Pachi for me! (not nice...the ones I had with Simon at Ion were much better!)
    lol looks like Chinese New Year Snacks
    arabic?malay? writing (kinda like the rainbow calligraphy at chinatown =x)
    Super mini Carnival!
    baby was so good at this! he only missed 1 can!! garrr!!
    my fried shirmp donut! I bought one and the man asked why I didn't buy 4, I said I didn't want to. He then asked why I didn't buy 2. I said I had never tried them before, but they looked interesting and I wanted to just try one. He then gave me an extra for free because he said I would definitely like it! LOL yay! Verdict: Abit greasy for me, didn't understand why the legs and head were still on, but tasty. I would eat it again if I came across it ;)
    these cheepo lights the malay community seem to like...maybe its just me, but I didn't like them so much =xme and Dom on the bridge!
    Henrik and me on the bridge! *loves*
    I met Ravin for some shopping and trip planning! He's planning to go to the Himalayas for some writing inspiration ;) I wish him the best of luck with that!
    Rav
    Super filling Seafood soup at the foodcourt! They gave me a whole scallop (meaning with shell) and a variey of seafood for only $4.80! Kaching!!
    My pastry bought me some flowers! half a dozen roses to be exact! It's been awhile! But *sigh* it has come to a point where I have to be upset to get any! Lesson learnt here? = Girls, be upset with your man more often! Lol Anyway, it was a really sweet gesture; they're pretty, smell good, and I love them!
    We had a little snack on Firday night! Happy belated Hari Raya/Ramadan to all the muslims by the way! It was a public holiday which of course, calls for some drinks! We went to ChaChaCha, a Mexican restaurant for an after-dinner snack and margeritas! I was a little skeptical with the waiter's (seemed to be manager or owner actually) black face but we ordered anyway. The shredded beef nachos we shared (very big plate) were freaking fucking AMAZING! Seriously, I havent had such good Mexican food since I'd left the U.S. It wasn't the typical "fake" mexican food Asia is famous for, that I was expecting. I assumed it'd be some stale chips, minced beef/chicken, sour cream, cheap-ass cheese and tomatoes (if you're lucky) in an overpriced, small portion. This shit was definitely worth my money! They had everything I could ever want, covering every nacho including jalepeno and my favorite seasoned beef. I cannot wait to eat a whole meal there one day! Soon! Yo Quiero ChaChaCha!
    Strawberry margerita!! *loves!*
    Whos are those?! NACH yOS!!! LOL
    Later on, Simon and Alex came to join us for drinks, which we had at the kopitiam down the street :D I love public holidays!
    September 11th is a date which the world can never forget. All the innocent people who lost their lives and all the brave people who tried to save them will always be remembered. :)
    September 11th is also Simon's Birthday!! Holla at my Kiwi!! We joined him for dinner at Lau Pa Sat around 7 (after getting super lost in the CBD area) and headed to the bridge for drinks.
    Lau Pa Sat
    (The live band as actually abit overwhelming in volume)Susanna and me!walking to the train!
    There was a crazy Taiwan food festival blocking everyone's way, but its all good. Awhile after we'd been sitting and chatting, a random group of guys came up to us and they were incredibly obnoxious! There was a German guy claiming he was the king of Thailand and that Thailand had taken over Singapore but had Vietnamese Dong pasted all over his shirt. Loud and ridiculous I can put up with, but his friends made me want to kick someone in the groin! The first thing they did when they saw Susanna was to get a ciagrette from her (3 guys in a row!) and another asked to help Henrik finish off his beer! There are some things I would never ask a Scando, and finishing off someonesbeer is one of them! Seriously, What the Fuck are these people doing traveling; much less traveling in Singapore's Clarke Quay if they're too CHEAPASS to buy their own beers and cigarettes at 7-11 less than a minutes walk away?! Men like that are super disgusting.
    ballin'!
    everyone rockin the shades! Ready to partay!!!Susanna and Miss Finland!look at the evil on his face!"king of Thailand"his royal cheapskate court
    Anyway, we ditched those fools at the bridge, bought a pair of sunglasses ($10 at the Taiwan food fair!! hollaa!!) and taxied down to Stereolab for it's sunglasses party! We were on the list so we got in free! Though the drinks were shit expensive, but hey, it all comes with clubbing doesn't it? It was so much fun! The people, the ambience. They did close the other room down though because it flooded lol (it then led to a conversation of automatic/non automatic toilets- don'd ask me why! lol) The Rnb Dj was ok, I just didnt like how he kept mixing the songs (one song's beat with another lyrics) Like, fine, its trendy but not for the whole night! Anyway, we had the bestest time!! There was a lost phone scare (I know, shut up, I've known other girls to lose shoes!!) but they found it!! To which I wanted to give the bouncer a hug but he pretty much ran away from me like I was the plague. Talk about keepting to company policy (--,) Happy 21st to my bestest, most favorite Kiwi!! I Love you!
    Super Pimp!
    the only way to rock out is with your cock out!the Finnish are confused!they made it! 21!!
    LOL I am, very obviously, raising the roof!
    LOL Whatever happens in the club, stays in the club!We gon party like its your birthday!a lot is going on in this pic lol
    matching outfits!unintentional pac man cheeseburger eating my face; supposed to be just a smiley but I got hungry while the camera was turning on!
    Still Stunnin'
    The pastry and I went to Jeremy's friend's scuba shop reopening at Chinatown for a relaxing Sunday. It was a cute little store. Everything you'll ever need for diving and snorkeling ;) We then headed down for a drink and some shoppings.
    Another restaurant's grad opening. Chinatown is the place to be yalls!
    one of the lions!
    totally random pic of the temple!
    As you all know, mid-autumn festival is coming up! So I needed a lantern. I forgot to get the one I wanted though- which will be an elephant this year!!! *happies* We did get Henrik's old nanny and her husband these really cool painted bottles though. They're painted from the inside!! And 90% of them are gorgeous! They even paint the name you want in it for free! *Amazed* We met Dom later for some dinner at the creepiest, dirtiest hawker center I've ever seen! We also saw the lights for Mooncake festival this year! Woot! Now I only have to get some mooncake at Takashimaya and I'm ready to go!
    Entrance to Chinatown! I LOVE the theme this year with lanterns from around the world!
    Japanese lanterns!
    me looking for the winning lantern!
    all the pretty things that are painted from the inside!
    For Henrik's old nanny Inger and her husband Ole
    baby paying hehehe
    on the Chinatown bridge!
    Purple and Gold themed this year!
    cool building we saw on our way home with giant chinese opera masks!
    Wednesday night again and I went to Attica with Sofie, Simon, Petra and Alex! Attica is incredibly crowded now! (Me thinks because Dbl O moved) It was super packed to the bring from begining to end. At one point I was actually bouncing off of someone's belly. LOL THey also have sexxxy male strippers at Attica and female ones at Attica too! *drools* epic night is all I have to say! Still love their ribena vodkas ;)
    *Pics up when I get them!
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    Anyway, I will for definitely try to blog more often so these posts aren't so crazy long! I love you for reading! xx

    Rndom Photo:
    LOL Fresh Grass Jerry! And I thought it was jsut an accent!

    When will "emo" people stop being "emo"? I thought it was something you grow out of...isn't it tiring being sad and dramatic like the world revolves around you ALL the time? I gurantee you will get the same ammount of attention when you're happy as when you're sad/pretending to be sad. Except no one will hate being around you.

    My theory on why fairytales and chick flicks were created: Because we can only dream and fantasize about perfect men. Also, I think some were written by guys to cover up the truth that there is no perfect man and keep girls hoping and looking and waiting....
