Mooncake/Mid-autumn'lantern festival was terriffic this year! It was also Henrik's virgin Mid-autumn festival! We had a nice (but expensive =.=") dinner at Lau Pa Sat where we also had the pastry try "gong gong" I don't know what the english/proper term is for this sea creature, only that it tastes good in chili sauce!

ang moh and a gong gong
    Dominic brought his abused dog

We later headed down to the new marina promenade near by. It was so nice and picturesque. The city realy is much more beautiful at night! We lit up the lanterns and whipped out our mooncakes and pomelo! YUM! Beacause we each brought some, we had a good variety of mooncakes. I love mooncake yolk (salted egg yolk) and double yolkss!!! I do not like: red bean paste and alot of nuts/healthy crap in my mooncake lol.

setting the lanterns up!mooncake!!all of them cut open!
This year, I had an elephant!! My favorite animal! It only took forever for me to hunt it down! I first saw it at chinatown and forgot to buy it. When I went back it was sold out, I went to another, sold out. I went to Holland Village- sold out (she told me it sold out within the first 2 weeks wtf!! I went to Bugis- closed...but they had it! So I had to go back the next day to buy him!! Speaking of hunting elephants. I was watching doscovery channel and whoever poaches elephants for it's ivory and skin should be ashamed of yourself!! And die a most horrible death! roarr!! And those who own/buy ivory items...without you, poachers wouldn't have thier jobs...SHAME!

    love elephants!
finally put up the super hard to make resort world lantern

Henrik carried a Pikachu! lol He's been fond of it since little when he was nicknamed Pikachu. I say its because they're both cute, round and electricity comes out of their butts that might shock you! LOL Now everyone is fond of them both!! The moon was muchos bright. I can't help but to think about how wild the party must be at Koh Pang Yang!! I discovered this year, that we celebrate it on the chosen day of the chinese calendar because it's the brightest moon of the year. According to one of the most told legends, it is that bright because the sun god and moon goddess are having sex! Good times ;)

    lol Dom fell asleep

We got some chocolates from Liverpool when daddy went to a conference there! I can't help but to feel that my tummy is so international (--,) The top box is super duper wonderful delicious!!!

Henrik and I had dinner at Barcelos one night. It was free! but only because I had complained about its atrotious service and it's staff's lack of ability to apologize like a man. So the managing director had replied saying that we should try again- on the house. Well, if you say so, I'm willing to give second chances ;) I called him on the way to Vivo one day and he set it up immediately with the floor manager of that evening. When we reached, she quickly took our order and we sat in a waiting corner. The only bad thing about this semi-fast food restaurant/ self-seating thing thing is that during a full house- which it was- some people wait for an open table, when newcomers innocently order, go in and check for an open table and half the time is able to steal a table from the already waiting. hmmmm.

My fav is the tangy lemon ;)

The food was good. At least it was hot this time. I had a chicken peri peri burger, Henrik had a steak burger. Both of us had spicy wedges for our sides. My chicken was nicely seasoned, Henrik's steak was perfectly cooked. I really like their in-house sauces. However, to be honest, I can get much better food, with service, for the same price elsewhere ;)

    chicken burger!
    steak burger

After dinner and running our errands, we decided to have some dessert at the White Dog Cafe. We only went there because the cheap beer sign caught Henrik's eye. LOL one of the waiters/manager reccomended us to try the specialty desserts by their in-house-Japanese chef after noting that we were there for dessert. I took his advise as a staff had brought me a sample try to choose from. WOW! The desserts were amazing! I don't know what they're called but we had a cheesecake and a chocolate tart with a mountain of caramel coated assortment of nuts! Heaven! The cheesecake was ok, not so much my thing as it was light, lemony and had only a hint of cheese flavor. The chocolate tart was heaven though. I reccomend everyone to go try!

    YUM
    with the white dog!

We caught a movie at Iluma one of the days I went lantern hunting. It was actually quite entertaining. A little scary, a little brain usage, fitting stoy line ;) Pam's rating is 3.7/5!

As you know, F1 was in sg, and when they put up the gates we took a little drive (--,)

We had a hong kong cafe night one night. dismal food, wonderful people! *love you guys!*

Lun got rainbow sprinkles in his coffee lol

Shout out to my parents!!! Happy 22 years of marrige! I love you both and wish you many more years to come!

Oh and I'm happy with Sennheiser for replacing Henrik's ear phones for free after the warranty (though with a bank proof of purchase, but he hadn't used it for more than half a year before it broke) because they couldn't fix it ;) Now THAT's service!
