    After the dive trip, Henrik and I took a boat to Ao Nang, Krabi. We found a nice little private hut a 2 minute walk from the main road. Nothing too exciting there, but dinner sure was interesting! We found this little bamboo place that Henrik had recognised from his last trip. There were jars of fishes on the table! We got our own little bamboo pavilion with cushions on the seats and a mosquito coil burning near our feet. The food was really nice and really cheap as well. I had red Thai curry fish =D The restaurant even gave us complimentary desserts of fruit and Asian cakes. Yumm :D

    Donuts for the ferry ride! super delicious!
    hellooo Krabi!! *sniggers*
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Fish jar!
    fish in red thai curry!! yummm
    I had a really good tan at this point of the trip, all golden!!
    cute little cakes and super sweet fruit for dessert!!
    The night was rather relaxing writing postcards at Starbucks (definitely not priced for thai people to go to), shopping and drinks at a bar later. Unfortunately, the night was cut short due to some bad news :( R.I.P. Grandpa :(
    sawadeeka!
    (McDonalds was completely empty!!)
    yumm they had the Christmas blends there too!
    too seksy for this bar
    Through the bad news and sad feelings, my brave little pastry still made the best of the vacation. Thats why I love him so! The next morning, a van picked us up for our elephant ride!! It drove like 20-30 mins away from town and to an elephant trekking area. This place is supposed to treat their elephants better than the ones that have special dealings with the cab drivers around. We booked ours from an agency- though it was a tad more expensive, I made sure I booked one where they don't abuse their elephants!!
    breakfast before the pickup!
    The people at this place were mighty friendly! We got to feet some elephants before the ride and then hopped onto a big one!! It was probably one of the best days of my life!! The elephants were so cute, stopping to eat wherever she could! lol and WOW she ate a lot!! Our elephant was slow and massive, making foot deep holes in the mud! The Elephant rider even let me ride in front of the elephant while he got off to take pics! hehehe!!
    first elephant!
    2 German girls who were in the van with us lol
    those holes of mud were like a foot deep!
    Best moment of my life right here :D
    At the end of the ride, we got to feed the elephants more pineapple as a treat! Then she took a shower in the river!! Soo cute!! I loved it! I recommend going for one if you're ever in Krabi!!
    pineapple goodness!
    clean elephant!!
    we could walk around and pet them!
    *loves*
    not leaving out the cat who chose me of all people to curl around my leg and snuggle! (also tried to lick my wound/toe blister!) adorable!
    the elephant didn't like henrik so much LOL
    (but then again, neither do babies)
    donations anyway!! they're associated with some Danish wildlife reserve.
    We returned to town at about 3pm, where we rented a bike for our next destination! Tiger Temple!! It was the longest ride everrr, but good thing Henrik had been there before so he could guesstimate his way there!
    quick lunch in the rain back in town!
    beautiful island
    gas station stop!
    The tiger temple is pretty much half still under construction, but the real "fun" is at the top of the hill!! People climbed 1237 steps to the top to pray to the big Buddha or check out the view. Because Peter had done it, Henrik had to do it too...thus we began a super tiring journey to the top.
    We found it!
    The fun thing about this temple is that there are these monkeys all around. These cheeky monkeys attack unsuspecting visitors to snatch their food and drinks. They watch from the phone lines, trees, ground, roof and trashcans! dun dun dun!!! If you're not hugging your stuff, it might be the last time you see it ;)
    look at them up to no good!
    goddess of mercy, donated by a Singaporean
    Anyway, I wanted to give up after like 200 steps, but we pushed on to the top! It was seriously the most tiring thing I'd ever done! The steps were about the size of my foot (women's size 5/6) and the height of my entire leg from the knee down!!I'm pretty sure I had to sit down and take a breather at each landing every 100 or so steps. The view was worth it though I was extremely tired. The wind was awesome, the fresh air was wonderful and the sight of the island was breathtaking. I'd much rather have taken a helicopter up, but ah well, once in a lifetime right? the way down was much much easier!!
    ahh this can't be too hard.........right??.......
    J/K! omfg!!!
    phew!!
    YAY!! finally!!
    *exhausted but victorious!!*
    I say they shoud've made a giant slide down!! LOL
    now you can see the whole island!
    buddhas watch the climbers and the city, everyday.
    it was really cool because they built the platform to accomodate the rocks instead of removing the rocksthe temple down below!
    super happy on my way down!
    all of a sudden we saw like 200 monkeys run past us! lol I don't think I've ever seen so many monkeys in my life!!
    On our way back to town we spoke to a nice nun who gave us a bracelet with monk's blessings after we had donated some monies. Then we stopped at a local market, where there was food, random stuff and people could literally buy clothes for 20bhat!! crazyness! If they had any nice clothes I would've gotten some =x
    random spice stall which refused to sell to us lol
    most unanitary conditions ever with about a bazillion flies on the meats!! Some things are just not meant to be seen -.-" and to think I complain about the wet markets in Singapore!
    we got 3 different colored steamed buns....all of them had the same lotus paste in it -.-"
    souveniors of the day!
    That night, we had a rather ok dinner. Then we had some shopping and drinks again. The place we had drinks was wonderful! The 2 guys who were singing really could rock out!
    Dinner was not the best roadside food I'd ever eaten, but acceptable....until....the green curry!! I don't know if it was bad meat or waaayyyy tooo crazy spicy, but that night I had the worst stomache ache ever known to man! I literally woke up in pain in the middle of the night crying. I tried to go to the restroom until I could go no more and it still hurt! And it came like acid, eating up my intestines all the way till morning.
    dinner during a happier time
    best cocktail I've ever had in my life and I can't even remember what its called!
    rock music is soooo sweet
    best cover band I've ever heard ;)
    Henrik was nice enough to run to the store to get some foul tasting liquid to counter the stomach cramps the next morning, missing his breakfast. We hopped onto van and it drove us for like 5 hours and one vehicle switch to the border. Phew was that ride long! I had the cutest toddler sitting next to me with his mother who smiled and waved everytime I woke from my troubled slumber....that is, until he was sick of sitting in the van and screamed for 2 hours straight.
    We knew we got to the border of Malaysia when everything became rude and lazy at the ferry terminal. It took 15 minutes to make a plain tuna sandwhich and the customs officer wouldn't start working (stamping our passports) 2 minutes early, though there was not a lot of passengers. The ferry ride itself was uneventful as I slept most of the way. For the record, till the day I die, Mr. "I don't want potato chips, they're so unhealthy and gross" ate my ENTIRE bag of Thai Lay's while I was asleep. Just saying.
    so many people on the ferry! phew!!
    haha he's turning so asian =x
    Toabishi, Malaysia's most reputable electronic brand! LOL
    to nap!
    Langkawi was busy, as any other arrival terminal. We caught a cab ride to the beach Jimmy, Julie and Le were on. The new place was cosy, the lady at the counter was rather amusing. The best part of Langkawi was the beach! It was absolutely gorgeous and we had reached right in time to catch the sunset. The town itself was rather dull, and the water had many reports of jellyfish stingings, but the beach with its white sand was definitely amazing.
    helloooo Langkawi!
    Chillin' at the guesthouse.
    The weather difference from Phi Phi and Langkawi was insane!! Langkawi was so much hotter and more humid!
    our friendly neighbors
    random cock lol
    the beach!
    begining of the most gorgeous sunset!
    the sand was amazing smooth and amazingly white!
    Julie and Le
    Pink and orance clouds!
    the boys coming back from their adentures
    Dinner for me became unadventurous because I was still not feeling so good, plust craving for normal steaks and pasta. The muslim state stopped selling beer after 2:30am. (Thailand is so much better!)
    waiting for the girls to get ready for dinner!
    The guesthouse's cat who caught a lizzard and played with it till it died. Then left it in the cafe for Jimmy to step on later. LOL
    they both had froglegs for dinner!
    found this fake tattoo place on the road side lol
    The next day was super hot and we got more sun at the glorious beach. Jimmy got a jellyfish sting and I caught up with my reading.
    super duper hotttt!!
    put on some pudge since last year :(most satisfying lunch ever! pizza!!!
    (and most expensive too! pfft!)
    After a delicious lunch of pasta (finalllyyy and I had pizza hehe) Henrik and I caught the ferry to Penang! The boat captain must've been new or malay because the boat reached Penang 2 freaking hours late!
    double rainbow during the boat ride!!! You should've seen the asians run to the deck with their ginormo cameras LOL
    Nothing was open by the time we got there. We had some ringgit left, so we had dinner at Red Garden where my family and I ate last year. Yumm it was good! My favorite part was the hotel. It was no where near fancy, but hot water, aircon, clean bed, tv!! It was almost like heaven. LOL The worst part about that night was we needed more cash to go out and the ATMs were ALL shut off after 12!! WTF kind of "theft protection" is that?! Some close for 2 hours, others close all night! What do people do when they need money?! I'm pretty sure if a theif wanted to rob an ATM he could do it anytime he wanted. WTF.
    the live singing and old people dancing just like the last time! lol
    super delicious char kway teowdelicious seafood platter though I didn't get the salted egg crab I wanted because we couldn't get more ringgits :(
    Glad to leave Malaysia, we caught our flight to jb, where we had a nice breakfast at coffeebean and a bus home to Pandan Valley.
    Surprisingly super delicious all-day breakfast!! and super good tea!! Though their teabags should be made of cloth, not plastic so the tea can soak better! Yum!!
    (and look how black I am now! LOL its not even the camera!)
    All in all, our vacation was awesome! I can't wait till the next one! Love you baby!!
    My deepest condolences to the Andersen family. Gradpa was a wonderful man, in a better place now :)
