Ahhh December! Finally I can catch up with all the happenings right before Christmas! December is literally the fastest month of the year! I barely blinked and already it is half gone!! Sadly, due to the busy schedule this year, there are no pre-Christmas parties :( we'll see about New Years Eve though!!
Picture of Bente and Soren's back yard!! Ohhh I miss the snow!! and wearing winter clothes more! lol
Anyway, December is definitely my second favorite month of the year (after November of course ;)). Orchard has been decorated and lit since the first and the city is a bustlin'!
Henrik went back to Denmark for a week to be at his grandfather's funeral. Poor thing. But he did bring me back some fun stuff! Christmas calendars for the people we love, a giant marzipan and presents of course! Also alot of foods that you can't get here!
giant marzipan!! Christmas calendar!Remoulade (But Henrik says the fresh ones I make taste nicer *blush*) our super big box from Kirsten and Ole! Christmas lottery calendar!! I'm going for a million kroners!
I had a wonderful night at Holland Vilage with Pingy. I took her Wendy's virginity!! hehe! Then we went to one of the bars where I had a super good cosmopolitan and we talked till 5am! LOL ahhh the days where our mother's were suspicious of us because we hung out so late, only with each other and a bag of chips ;)
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving while he was gone! Of course it wouldn't be a family occasion if someone doesn't have a heart attack and blow up! This year it was me because my dad and my sister decided to purposely sabotage my Thanksgiving after I had made everything so easy for them by making the list of things to buy and cooking! All sissy had to do was double check for things we already had and didn't have to buy, but couldn't be bothered to get off her lazy ass to do so. Daddy at least went to the grocery stores and markets though he still ignored my pleas to check for the spices I needed and told me we had everything already. I'm so worried they're going to mess up my chinese new year in 2011. My family has gotten so unspirited I don't know why and if I want stuff done perfectly, I have to do it myself! Anyway, I worked magic and everything turned out delicious and fine! *happies*
After Thanksgiving, we put up the tree! This year's theme is purple!! hooray! As usual, thank goodness I was there or there'd be no tree for Christmas!
I caught a nissen!tada!
We had dinner with the Finnish crew at Lau Pa Sat one day! I had chili crab!! yumm yumm!! It was very enjoyable and we met Karolina's boyfriend from London! awww!
*loves* atrocious people who didn't want chili crab! they went hiking and didn't change!!! lol
Then we joined Lev, Lun, Wendy and the rest at St. James to chill out. It was nice and cosy. Not a good place for converstations, though I loved looking down to the club from the viewing gallery. People are soo funny when they dance!! Oh, but the cosmopolitans at St. James suck =x
Wendy, her friend and a sneaky Lynx! brrrrrrrrrrrrr LOL at the people downstairs
Had dinner with Levyne and Lun at Seng Kee black Herbal chicken soup. Though later we found out that theres like 7 restaurants on the same road named the same thing. LOL! Yum it was really good though. I super loved the claypot chicken (though not black)! I seriously think they should change the name to "Seng Kee African Singaporean Herbal Chicken Soup" to be politically correct. tsk tsk, lets not be racist now.
We met Johanna's sister Maria for dinner at Blu Jaz. I had the super yummy grilled fish and super loved their shisha! We then headed to the bridge for a fun night, ending at mcdonalds!!
Blu Jaz! shishaaaaaa Love from Erica!!Johanna, Maria and Jonas*loves!*
One of the highlights of my month is eating at Kushinbo!!! I had heard so much about it, but never been there before. The spread was all Japanese and not bad. (Though I do like international buffets much much more) I ate my fill of snow crab legs! hehehe! They had everything from sashimi to udon! And their dessert spread was muchos impressive!! I think Henrik super liked it too! *happies*
Super in love!Lev more love! Lun and Vincent crab legs!!! Grace attempting to eat her money's worth! LOL
Henrik and I had another dinner at Cha Cha Cha with Johanna and her sister! Yum! I super love the food there! I literally won't mind eating there once a week or something! LOL and the staff have gotten more friendly as well! We then had ice cream at Cold Rock! My new ice cream obsession! Its kind of like Cold Stone in the U.S. where you pick your ice cream and they pound whatever candies you choose into your ice cream! Love it!
ChaChaCha!!cold rock!!mixing the ice cream!
oooOOoohhh! I also got a super belated birthday present in the middle of December from Bente and Soren! They sent me an apron and mitten that supported breast cancer. On it are Danish words saying "boobs", "titties", "big breasts" and all the slangs that mean breasts. LOL Love it!
I also had lunch with Simon, Maria and Johanna one day! We then headed to Sentosa for a day just to check out the place and also so they'd appreciate the beaches in Thailand that they were going to much more, since Sentosa is so crappy. LOL We also checked out the Resort World Sentosa and went to the Victoria's secret there. Its incredibly expensive AND they don't sell bras!! ridiculous!! But ahh well, its Singapore.
gettin' some sun! Resort World Sentosa! outside the Universal Studios hooray Christmas tree!! Candyyy empireee!! Super awesome hallway leading to super awesome escalators with super awesome lights after the casino! To the luxury shops! panties online: 3 for $25....panties at this store: 1 for $19.90
There was a bridging weekend with Henrik's colleagues and friends. What can I say, it was...interesting.

I went shopping with Ian and Sophie for Christmas presents! It was fun! we got to see all the Christmas decorations and stuff! The sales aren't really good this year. I thought we were out of the economy crisis? LOL anyway, I hope we got everyone what they wanted! Henrik joined us for a scrumptious dinner at Wendy's and Starbucks at the end! *happies*
love the Tang's decoration! As usual, the best and most festive! My fav pic this year! teddy bear trees! nativity at the Mandrin Gallery! my "vegetarian" brother who later ate a cup of chili at Wendy's because he couldn't help himself LOL rockin' out with baby Jesus! 3 wise men + 2 wise girls! sissy poo and the disco treeFerrero Rocher tree!! hellooooo orchard! I also had a day out with Simon when he got back from his travels! We discovered the new Hershey's store! They have everything from twizzlers to jolly ranchers there!! Of course, everything is still ridiculous expensive, but we couldn't help ourselves and each got a pack of Reese's pieces! tee hee! And because they gave us some coupons to the gelato next door, we had to try some of that as well! heheh those sneaky sneaky chocolatiers!
*loves* this tree is actually quite nice! Helloooo Hershey's! Gelato! New Year's wishes!
Finally, Simon and I made wishes on the white balls that they put out in the Singapore River and light up for New Years Eve! Maybe one day I'll get to see mine again! hehehe!!
