Wine Glass EtchingWhat you will need:
- Etching cream (available at any art store)
- Paint brush
- sticker sheet and marker (unless you buy ready made sticker stencils)
- Scissors
- A water source

First I traced and cut out stencils from the sticker paper. Then it is stuck onto the glass.
Tip: make sure that your sticker is stuck on all the way at all the edges because we don't want any leakage. Reinforce with tape.

Next, paint a thick layer of
etching liquid onto the empty stenciled space. Let your glass object sit face up and dry for about 20 minutes (the etching liquid's package says 60 seconds, but I find 20 minutes better and the results are more bold).

When ready, peel off the tape and
stencils and wash off the remaining stencil cream. Dry.
Tada!! You can do whatever patterns or monograms you like. And all of it turn out amazing! Good for gifts, decorations and wedding favors ;)

Red Velvet CupcakesWhat you need:
- 1 1/4c cake flour
- 60g butter
- 150g granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2tsp vanilla essence
- 1 tbs red dye
- 1 tbs cocoa powder
- 1/2c buttermilk (I used 1/2c milk and 1/2tbs vinegar to replace it)
- 1 tsp vinegar
- 1 tsp baking soda

1. Sift the flour and cocoa powder together in a bowl.
2. In another bowl, mix the butter and sugar together till fluffy, then mix the egg until incorporated. Then beat in the vanilla extract.
3. In a third bowl, mix the buttermilk and red dye.
4. Whisk together the flour and dye mixture into the butter mixture in three parts, starting with half the flour, all the dye and the rest of the flour. Make sure each part is fully mixed in before adding in the next part.
5. Combine the vinegar and baking soda until it bubbles and quickly mixing it into the batter. Then divide the batter into prepared baking cups.
6. Bake at 175 degrees for 20 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool before frosting ;)

Tada!! I used my favorite cream cheese frosting and sprinkles to spiff them up! (too bad I couldn't find heart shaped or pure red sprinkles :( but the boys loved them anyway!)
