In other firsts, I gave blood for the first time! I figure, since no one in my immediate family can do it, I should pick up the slack and help save someones life right?
lol The process is long to sign up a get in, but I guess better safe than sorry right? I was always really afraid of giving blood because I'm not a big fan of needles, but I guess I felt it was time to get over this fear and so something nice. I do after all, have quite a lot of it to spare ;)
Turns out, that it wasn't painful at all! There was a small ant-bite feeling in the beginning, but later I could see blood but not feel anything! Cool Beans. I did have 2 "poke scars" for the next 2 weeks though. But that's just me, I don't heal so fast
lol. The nurse says I have nice big veins. Compliment? I guess so! I can donate again in 3 months! Anyone needing A+ blood just give me a call!
heheheP.S. There weren't any cookies or juices being offered after the donation like you see on
tv and hear other people had.
Sadded! (
ok, but I did take an apple juice from the volunteer table because my hand was cold and numb).
