    ATTENTION: THE REST OF THE THAILAND TRIP'S PICTURES ARE POSTED! YOU CAN.....VIEW THEM ALL HERE!! =D

    Okayyy so baby comes tomorrow!!! Whos excited?! I am!!! I shall head to the airport at 3:30pm to go pick him up! hehehe! And so i just wanna catch up with the past 2 weeks since I've came back from Penang to this very second! dun dun dun!!!

    Well, I didn't have a pleasant fist few days of being back no thanks to the suspicious-yet delicious-food I had in Jorhor Baru on the way back. Thursday night I went to tutor and afterwards ran home with a fever :(

    Friday was pretty chill though. I hung out with my love Angela. It was her last few days in Singapore =( so we just HAD to go for shisha!!!! We went with Clarissa (we picked her up at the hostel, shes from New York) and Mar!! I also got my ear pierced-the other one this time lol (yes, I know again!! its just so fun!! =x) with Clarissa. It was pretty cool. We ended with supper at my fav fishball noodle store at bugis hehe =D

    Saturday I went to see the Ghosts of Girlfriends Past with Angela! we caught it at PS. I absolutely hate going there on weekends because its sooo crowded!! But the lady at the ticket counter was so funny-And friendly! She called me over and needed Angela's card for verification (she pre-booked and asked me to get the tickets first but apparently the ID number isn't substantial proof) but Angela hadn't arrived so I was like "oh noes" *winces at the thought of having to get back in line for when Angela comes* but the lady was like "oh nono, just stay here awhile, its ok, just relax, its cool." So I just waited and carried polite conversation. Me thinks the lady just needed a break too as she must've been having a pretty customer heavy day! The movie was really sweet. I super liked it! Everyone should watch! Pam's rating is 4.7/5!!

    P.S- I don't think Jennifer Garner is hot at all =x

    Afterwards, Angela and I parted ways and I rushed down to Lev's potluck partayyy! Everyone was there already and everyone made amazing foods! Plus Lun had made the crab fried in salted egg =)~~ I hadn't discovered it till recently and now its popping up everywhere!!! I'm definitely not complaining though! hehehe I won a game of mahjong woo hoo! (but no monies la!! lol) and then watched Red Cliff 2. I had no idea it was so interesting. Usually I don't quite like Chinese movies but I did like this one! Love you guys!!!

    Sunday I went to get my new phone!! Ka ching!!! SE W705 (I told you guys 2 posts ago, but ill tell you again!!) Its silver and gold!! Gorgeous!! (also cuz they didn't have the red and black one I wanted =x) I had $100 voucher-which they give to customers who need to renew (apparently you have to do so unwillingly and feigning cancellation or they'll only give you a $50 voucher =x) their plan. Thus, only had to pay $188! Huat ar!!!

    Then Mar and Angela came to meet me! (It was Angela's last day *sadded* My favorite asian with as messed up a background as I do!! lol I mis her already) We caught Drag Me to Hell at Cineleisure. It was a.......special movie. I didn't like it that much. Some parts were scary and some parts I didn't know whether to laugh or scream. I really hate that feeling when you're sitting in a theater and something happens that makes you want to laugh-like someone being killed-but no one else is laughing because its gory or whatever. I mean, who wants to be that idiot in the theater whos laughing his/her ass off at inappropriate parts of the movie killing everyones movie experience. Anyway, they use a lot of sound effects to scare people. I'm pretty sure if I were watching it at home I'd be bored. I also didn't like the ending, but I won't be a movie spoiler.......Just kidding I am! She gets dragged to hell thinking she was safe and I think a stupid movie like that would've been better off with a happy ending. Pam's rating is 1.8/5

    Monday I went to see Terminator with Jeremy!!! (I know, ALOT of movies right?!) and he was hungry, I don't think I've ever chowed down french fries so fast in my life! Nor see a person chow down a Carl's jr burger that fast in my life. lol

    Anywayyy, the movie was great! Definitely worth watching. I really liked how they put a young Arnold in. lolss Pam's rating is 4.7/5 =D hottt!

    Tuesday I went for tutoring and finally took a picture of this horrible mistake in the kid's practice book that really pisses me off but I don't know what to do about it because I see it every week.

    I picked Maude up on Thursday Morning!!! Yay!! She was back in Singapore for a day from Cambodia before going back to England *sobs* all my loves are leaving me!! noooo!!! Anyway, She came to get her stuff, we had lunch and decided to go shopping at Bugis! We also got our nails done. hehe Its so sad, my favorite Thai people have moved as Bugis Street is renovation the 3rd floor! *sadded* they always did such a good job. I wish I knew where they moved to! So instead we found some girls on the first floor. They weren't as good, but passable. Though I must say their color choice is limited. It was so funny when they were speaking in Cantonese because they thought we didn't understand (well, they were half right cuz Maude couldn't) and said that Maude's toenails were funny/weird because some of them were round and some of them square. hahaha what the hell.

    We had dinner at Din Tai Fung! The woman was having a dumpling craving because they don't make them as good in England, so dumplings we ate! We had, rice and noodles as well. I hope you had your fill hun and I'll be here if you decide to come back for more! hehe *loves*

    Ravin came to pick us up to check out his new apartment. Its the cutest loft-like apartment everr!! and he got it at an amazing price in Ang Mo Kio! Sadly at about 12:30 Maude had to go catch her plane *sadded* I miss her like crazy!!...ohhh the good times!!

    Friday I dated my love Pingy out to chill. We did the norm of dinner, carbon monoxide and drinks!!! And I got to see the river festival! I didn't even know Singapore had one lol But all the boats were lighted up and pretty! Nichelle joined us for a bit. We had drinks at this new place at the Esplanade and OMFG 3 drinks there was $90. and they had super high service charge with super no service. WTF anyway, first and last time there!! Plus they closed really early at like 1 or something. But I had a lot of fun!! Girl's nights out are the besttt!! *Loves*

    dinner!
    lit up river boats!

    Saturday my family celebrated Father's Day! We went to Dallas at Boat Quay. first floor is a pub but the second floor is a restaurant. They had pretty delicious food there. I had the ribs *yumm* and the appetizer platter was amazing. Especially the Quesidillas that I adored! I wasn't too impressed with their fajitas though....tasted like Indian food. The service was really good, staff attentive. I'd recommend that place of eating at anytime for anyone!!!

    me and sissy!
    fajitas!
    ribs
    momma and a very excited bro
    daddy
    my all time favorite dessert!

    Sunday was bake day at Pingys! Nichelle, Pingy and I made a Pavlova!!! (marshmellow-like cake with fresh fruit on top) We had a crazy crowded time at NTUC lolss and a crazy time making the desserts! The best was when Pingy made us dinner though! Shes never made me dinner before! And I must say, it was pretty delish! *happies*

    us confused at the grocery store lol
    we're clearly pretty happy about the outcome!tada!
    first dinner pingy ever made for me and it was delicious!

    I went to Ravin's after and we caught The Taking of Pelham. John Travolta looked really bad ass. lolss I think it must've been the beard. But I quite liked the movie. I reminded me a lot of Speed (Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves) though *Speed was better =x). Pam's rating is 3.9/5

    ravin

    Tuesday I got wisdom tooth surgery :o It was tiring. Not painful but just having my mouth kept open that long was tiring. The Dentist was pretty speedy though. He says I don't have to go back and get the stitches out because they're dissolvable! 00OOOOooohhh! but i was stuck with soft foods for a couple of days. Which wasn't too bad, I shoved noodles and porridge into my mouth and just swallowed. lol I'm pretty professional at such things ;) The dentist hooked me up with a ton of meds though. I keep forgetting =x Up to this date, there still has been no viewing of my Dentist's entire face as he always has his surgical mask on. lol!

    the blue thingy in the back are stitches

    Weds the little cousin came over to sleepover with the little bro. However, I didn't get anything to eat, so daddy brought us to Block 85 to eat. The cousin ate all of my ba chor mee (minced pork noodles). Good thing I also had hokkien mee (shrimp noodles) haha! *sluuuurrrrp*

    Thurs I went over to Ravins!! We went grocery shopping for the partay on Friday. We were making lasagna, chicken nuggets, tuna salad and deviled eggs!! woo hoo! hard work! but we made it! Friday was a breeze just throwing the stuff together and all his people liked it! Success!

    cleaning
    deviled eggs
    kitchen/hall

    Saturday I went for dinner with Nichelle!! *loves* that woman has so many interesting things to talk about! We also had a drink at Clarke Quay, floated around in the jacuzzi at the central and suppered at boat quay!! Fun stuff! love you dear!

    Sunday Nichelle and Pingy came over to hang out/bake. Nichelle brought her toy poodle Armani. lolss most adorable and fluffy puppy everrr!! (except he shit on my floor =x) lol we also made a very good chocolate cake! yummm! cant wait till the next cake!!!

    i guess he was a little too excited to be still for a pic lol

    Afterwards I went gay clubbing with Ravin at Zirca!! OMG it was so weird but so fun! Apparently gay people are allowed so much more freedom in clubs than on normal straight nights. They can take their clothes off and swing around the outside of the cage among other things. lol. There weren't really any hott guys there except for 2 or 3 guys. Trust me to find the only straight guy in the club though!! So this guy comes over and keeps hanging around me and Ravin. And he kept looking at Ravin so I thought he was checking him out. After all, this strange guy looked gay with his jeans, tank top, and hat (also his way of dancing was suspiciously gay). So of course hes not bad looking and I told Ravin to go for it. Ravin was shy so I introduced Ravin to the guy but the guy didn't attempt to shake hands or introduce himself or anything. Sooo I was like well, thats rude and immediately Ravin was like "OMG hes straight!" and I was like pfft no hes not hes so obviously gay. But then the guy started dancing up on me (and at one point got so into it, hit my face with his hat =o) and I guess made it clear he was straight. lol weirdo......what straight guy dresses gay and clubs by himself on gay night?! Hes obviously asking for a poke somewhere where the sun don't shine!!! Anyway, it was still a pretty great night I must admit! lol *happies*

    Today was the busiest day everrr. I went to Bras Basah to get scrapbook album refills and Art friend didn't have them anymore and neither did any of the stores in the building!! So not knowing what to do, I aimlessly walked through city hall and decided to try the art stores at Orchard....just my luck they were all out too!!! WTH it seems like everyone sells 12x12 paper but not the 12x12 pocket to keep it in!!! So I asked for a recommendation from the lady at the store and she said Spotlight at PS. Ahhhh why hadn't I thought of it before?! Good thing they had some! though it was bloody expensive. But oh well!!!! Better expensive than nothing!

    I ran a few more errands and finally got home, only to have to leave again to tutor. Somehow once children get a taste of vacation they don't want to learn anymore and I was so abused!! She played, didn't pay attention even after her mom, dad and I scolded her!! (I don't usually scold, but today was a special case) Anyway, It was only for 2 hours, so I'm now free to get ready for my love to arrive!!! *excited + happies*

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Some people are so disappointing. Its kind of sad and ironic at the same time, that by the time you realize that all the time you've spent with them was a waste of time, you've already wasted so much time. It just really irritates me that people can be so self-centered that they couldn't be bothered to even attempt attending something important to a good friend. Whatevs.
    Heres my new favorite song/new ring tone!!! hehehe I freaking love Lady Gaga!
    So, I'll try to blog a little more often! I know you're all still reading ;) I'm gonna entertain the bf this week and then we're off to Vietnam for 2 weeks! stay tuned for those posts! I'm super psyched!! woo hoo!! I wish you all to have as great a month as I'm having! *kisses*
    *pics up when blogger fixed* sorry about that
    Pamela goes to Penang!
    This is a mini family vacation with the little bro, daddy and momma! We drove up into Malaysia for a 5 day 4 night trip. We were in Ipoh for the first night because daddy's friend grew up there and was also visiting the city and could show us around. We moved on upwards and spent the next 3 nights in Penang before driving back down to Singapore!
    Day 1
    The 4 of us set off at 6am on Saturday the 6th of June, to the Tuas exit as there is a straight road from north>south. Unfortunately, the line at the checkpoints weren't as empty as we'd hoped for such an early time and took an entire hour to get through!! We stopped at the outskirts of Malacca for brunch.
    packing the trunkTuas check point
    road trip!!!
    Surprisingly, in this city, we couldn't find anywhere to eat and it was already 10am!! nothing was open, the roads were empty, the people living there must have a really slacky life! Not that I'd complain if I were living there.....but we were hungry!! We finally found this mall that had opened most of its food stalls open and the grocery store Giant. I pretty much didn't like any of the food there as it was all curry or sour. Oh well! When in Rome.......
    After Brunch, we picked up a few snacks and continued our journey to Ipoh. I slept most of the way, so I must say, time passed real fast! The only thing really traumatizing (not really to me but to the parents) were the road tolls. On our many road trips to Chicago back when we lived in the US, the toll was about 40cents USD. On our way through Malaysia, the toll was RM$4-24+!!! jeebus, the roads must be paved with gold!!
    A pretty building I saw on the way with a purple roof hehehe
    We arrived in Iphoh at about 4pm and Checked into our hotel. It was the last one left available because daddy had other choices, but as it was a last minute trip, all the other hotels were booked out. Syuen Hotel is probably the grossest four star hotel I've ever been to in my life. They're not even cheap! It was dark and dingy on the inside. Our family suite had 1 bath towel and one towel for the floor. It took ages for housekeeping to bring more towels, I don't think they even brought enough. The glasses and cups were dirty, the walls and bathroom gross and the tv old with a couple channels. Anyway, I would never recommend going there unless you're desperate.
    The hotel
    im quite a bit of a cam whore if you haven't noticed
    Paul brought us for dinner at this local restaurant. Ipoh is known for its really good food (and dirty massages)! and Paul's taste is pretty swell! We had shrimps, bacon, garlic chicken and noodles among other things.
    After dinner we had desert at Secret Recipe. We shared cheesecake as I was way too full to function! and after Dessert we had supper! *gasp* I had stingray and a coconut =x Tiring day!!
    for some reason they still had Christmas lights up lol
    Day 2
    Daddy booked the hotel for 2 nights, but due to its crappyness, he decided to move on to Penang straight away. Paul met us for breakfast. He brought us to a local noodle store. There were different chee chong funs and popiah. Not bad I must say. I liked the caramel pudding best!
    busy morning
    haha some people were/weren't looking in each picture so I put both up! ;)
    momma sneaking my caramel pudding
    After breakfast we went to the famous Ipoh white coffee stall. It was a small, dirty corner shop, but it was very crowded. It was so crowded, they opened tables in the little back alley for customers. We sat there with the aroma of garbage and stale drain water. Also, we saw how they operate in the kitchen. Sometimes, there are just things that are not meant to be seen..... Ah well, the coffee was amazing! very rich in flavor and momma even had 2 glasses! She never drinks coffee like that! They also had incredibly awesome char kway teow (friend noodles) with ginormous fresh shrimp topping it. We just had to order 2 plates!
    on our way to white coffee.
    I call this bird-shit lane as there was a ton of birds shit everywhere on the pavement
    here we are!
    shady back alley
    white coffee
    most awesome char kway teow Ive ever had in my life!
    The shrimp were so big, they covered the noodles!
    more behind the scenes action
    back in the streets
    we bought snacks from push carts like these
    We decided to check out the 1 attraction in Ipoh which was a cave/temple. There were big statues and a very beautiful garden in the back. I liked the turtles. I'd say it was a little turtle reserve in those ponds. lol
    Family outside the cave
    family plus paul
    At the mouth of the cave
    inside the cave
    idols in the cave
    Buddha
    Garden entrance behind the cave. It was so beautiful!
    one of the ponds water was yellow :o
    momma in the shade
    im all gross and sweatycaught destroying nature lolss
    (they picked up a lime stone for my bro whos obsessed with rocks)
    back through the cave
    another statue
    and the Godess of Mercy
    A whole pond of turtles!!
    After the cave, we got some dim sum snacks, because I guess Ipoh is famous for dim sum too! We packed it for the road because we were way too full! *rolls around*
    dim sum restaurant
    Goodbye Ipoh!
    back on the road
    It was about a 3 hour drive to Penang. we crossed a huge bridge to get there. The roads were crazy. very unorganized and almost all of them were one way!!! very easy for the designer, bad and inconvenient for users in my opinion. We finally found our hotel The Bayview Hotel! Our room was so much better! the service was great, huge restroom with shower and tub hehehe! and the view was amazing! I could see out into the ocean. I was also quite pleased that is was in a really good location in Georgetown where all the attractions are.
    on the long long bridge
    Penang!
    lol we're lost!
    but we found our hotel!
    the bellhop showing daddy the room and talking about langkawi
    the view
    the very clean bathroom the teriffic view
    sunset
    me spying on the swimmers at the pool =x
    The first night was pretty uneventful, we had dinner at the hotel's "street side food"-literally- it was free, but not that great. Then we decided to go to the night market but a bellhop told us it'd be closed by the time we reached. I think he was a big fat liar because what night market closes at 10? So we went to this big eating place (AGAIN) nearby our hotel called Red Garden. I was a little irritated as there was no shopping and I was in no mood to eat more food =x But the variety was great, there was live singing, awesome thai mango salad and fried ice cream! hehehe We turned in early as my parents are old and unexciting. Good thing the hotel had internet =x
    literally street side LOL
    mango salad
    Roberto and I getting ready to sleep
    Day 3
    The next day, we woke up early and headed to the chinese heritage house (also very near our hotel) but decided not to go in and went to the Peranakan house instead. The house was huge, restored by a private owner and all his peranakan collections were there. Everything was so bright and colorful and detailed. People don't make stuff like that anymore! we had an old tourguide at first, in my opinion had a know-it-all attitude and was exerting an "I'd rather be somewhere else, don't ask me questions" aura. However, knew his peranakan history and information. He later dumped us to another tour guide so he could attend to another group. The new tour guide was very friendly and energetic, except for the fact he knew shit about peranakans and emphasized on where they imported stuff from to build the house with. I'm pretty sure he just read a brochure somewhere and recited it to customers. Anyway, everything there was pretty interesting, I really liked the handmade tapestries for the detail.
    bright beautiful day chinese heritage house
    outside the peranakan house
    at the entrance
    the kitchen
    where the women belong!! *runs away*
    some sort of sitting/opium smoking room
    Ancestor's temple/room
    The walls had heaven on one side and hell on the other. The details were amazing!
    bats that live in there lol
    altar
    English windows
    dining room
    courtyard in the middle of the house
    jewelry on the second floor
    old camera! lol
    tapestries of the owner's parents in China
    second dining room
    Peranakan clothes
    bedroom
    master bedroom with marital furniture.
    All the furniture was so small! lol they mustve been tiny people!
    hangout/waiting room
    expensive glass vase and decoration room
    An unknown fact about Pamela: My great grandma on daddy's side was Peranakan and my great grandma on my mommas side was peranakan! *gasp!* who knew?!
    Next, we went to the Khoo Kongsi. Kongsi means clan, Khoo is the family title. Their "club house" was now made for tourists, with information and mannequins but still interesting. Their temple/prayer room or whatever was nicely decorated with all their ancestors. Very cool. But I was like, well its kinda weird as a Tan we visit the Khoo Kongsi, so we decided to hunt for the Tan Kongsi. We found it much later (it was nearby the Khoo Kongsi but we got lost lol) but discovered it actually still was in operation (aka not for tourists) and decided not to go in.
    Khoo clan clubhouse
    kitchen
    map of all the Kongsis in the area
    ancestor area
    more ancestor thingies I think
    theater
    I guess I have to approve of its architecture if my fellow Pam says so!
    some mosque we passed-that I thought was pretty because its light blue and white-while we were lost lol
    A Tan kongsi!!!
    THe family wanted to go to the Sun Yat Seng memorial, but they weren't opened on mondays of public holidays, both which it just so happened to be!!! So we took a couple of pictures on the outside and decided to fill our growling tummies.
    yes, of course I look like this ALL the time when looking for lunch LOL
    We searched for some lunch and after some driving around, decided on a mall. haha I don't even know what the mall is called, but half of it was really old and the other half was pretty.......I wouldn't say new, but I'll call it clean. We decided on a Thai food store. Their food was surprisingly nice. They had really good fried tofu and claypot rice. They used a real claypot and the rice burnt at the bottom. Daddy says its how its supposed to be, I just eat whatever. lol We spent a couple hours shopping much to my delight! hehehe I got some shoes, gifts, sunglasses, pirated dvds, etc etc.*happies*
    lunch!cutest hedgehog we bought at the mall lolss
    As usual, people complained I was abusive, because when I shop, I don't feel the need to eat, drink or rest. Why waste monies and time on eating and resting when you can be shopping?! Apparently, my family didn't feel the same way and took a break at McDonalds. On the way there, I'm pretty sure I scared a man because he wanted to show me some product and grabbed my arm. Having been a victim of the same disgusting product in Singapore, I ripped my arm away and was like "NO!! No!!" and he continued to speak to me in Malay so I was just like "NO!!!!!!!" and then he was like, "ok" looking abused and took his pamphlet back. You see, the same thing happened in Singapore and I was not fast or smart enough to stop the abuse. The cream was supposed to take away tans and blemishes (plus smelled really bad). Imagine my anger + horror when the man-without asking me-grabbed my arm before I could object and rubbed away the tan I lay under the sun for multiple hours for!!! Leaving me with a stinky arm lighter than the other!! No way in hell was that ever going to happen to me again!
    Anyway, back to Penang, we left the mall shortly and headed to the night market I was anticipating all day! It was everything I expected. The long strech of stores, the bargaining and stuffs! hehehe I bought a lot more stuff! Sarongs, frames, shawls etc etc. the only thing I wish they had was clothes for girls. hahaha. I had fun :D *happies*
    night market!
    fruit stall that ripped us off lol
    mommas loots after
    (I'd post mine but....nahhh lol)
    For some reason, daddy and the little bro doesn't like shopping, and night markets even less. (?!?!!?! tsk men......I'll never understand) We headed off to hunt for some dinner. We stopped at a market/hawker, whatever you want to call it strech of food at Guney road. Daddy went crazy ordering. All the food was amazing!!! From the wonton noodles, bbqed kebabs, dumplings, shellfish, prawn noodles etc etc!! Talk about over eating!!! *burppppp* So easy to eat...so hard to lose weight :( I thought it was a pretty productive day!
    the whole stretch of foods
    wonton noodles
    more noodles
    shellfish and squid salad
    *loves*
    salmon kebabs, bacon rolls and other stuffs
    mini stroll after
    Day 4
    We started off the morning visting the Sun Yat Sen Memroial. He's one of daddy's heroes. Sun Yat Sen was a revolutionary leader and politician of modern day China. He helped overthrow the Quing Dynasty and developed a political philosophy called the Three Principles of The People. His memorial building was big, but only the front halls were decorated. The rest of the building had nothing and the staff explained that theyre terribly underbudgeted and are attempting to rasie funds to build more of it. So daddy encouraged us to buy more from their gift store-and I did!! hehehehe We also had a snack at their cafe. The place was very nicely decorated and their cakes delicious!! Apparently the chef use to work at a hotel and now makes whatever cake he feels like each week at their small cafe. I'd reccomend everyone to have lunch or tea there sometime if they have the chance!
    Afterwards, we decided to chill out at the beach and catch the sunset. Sadly, Penang doesn't have a lot of beaches left after the tsunami. We found a small beach and daddy and Ian played in the water for awhile. The water seemed kind of greyish and the beach was quite crowded but it was still pretty nice.
    For dinner, we went to Red Garden. Daddy went order crazy again!! We had huge shrimp, satay, grilled fish, fried chicken, fried tofu, omelette, fried fish crackers, mango salad and my favorite discovery of all!!!!=crab fried in salted egg. OMG it was amazinggggg!!!! I still had a little space left for dessert and filled it up with fried ice cream! hehehe yumm!! We did a quick walk to get some snacks at a-7 11 like- convenicence store and retired for the night. Fun stuff!
    Day 5
    We checked out of the hotel sometime in the early afternoon after a pretty yummy hotel breakfast. It was a buffet of fusion foods. Som western, some malaysian. I really liked the bak kut teh soup and the omelettes they had.
    We made a trip the the famous Chocolate store they have across the street from our hotel. It was a pretty cool place where they had a ton of different kinds of chocolate made in malaysia. Different rooms had different catagories. The healthy room with fruit, low sugar, diabetic chocolate. The fruit room with kiwi, pomagranet, pineapple and the likes. The nuts with almonds, chesnuts and whatever else. The exotic chocolates covering things like potato chips, fresh durain, chili. The Coffee room with chocolate covered beans, mocha and such. The best thing about this place is that you could sample every single one of it!!!muahaha!!! We bought a bunch of chocolate! I really liked the Kiwi and pomagranet ones, little bro for some reason was strange and got the diabetic ones, daddy bought chocolate covered fresh durains and coffee and some other stuff. The not so great thing about this place, was that the chocolate was a little pricey. Daddy said he'd never spent so much on chocolate in his life before. hahahaa
    The next errand we had to go on before we left Penang, was to buy some famous Tau sa Piahs. We bought some for everyone back in singapore and surprisingly it wasnt that expensive. woo hoo!! the Place was so popular they were out of stock with half their stuff!!! and people kept coming in to buy more!
    We decided to get some lunch and I saw the most awesome thing everrr!! they had the biggest buidling for KFC I had ever seen. lol We ordered their spicy chicken and finally, like traditional KFC, our meal came with a roll. lol I freaking love dipping dinner rolls in their mashed potato gravy! =)~~~ And their cheesy potato wedges were pretty good too.
    Our last stop in Penang was a cultural one. We stopped at the famous sleeping Buddha at a Thai temple. It was a very big, very beautiful temple. The creepy part was that they had urns in glass cases lining the walls in the back. I wonder how much you'd have to pay to get a slot. They also had buddha statues for different days and different types of things such as wealth, children, protection etc etc. Very interesting! There was also a Burmese temple across the street from the outside-equally as beautiful, but sadly, I didn't get to go as my mom doesn't practice religious tolerance.
    The drive back to Singapore was long and butt-aching. But I slept most of the way, so I can't complain much. hahaha.
    bye Penang!
    On the way home, we stopped at Jorhor Baru around 11pm to get some dinner. We stopped at a shady but brightly lit restaurant on a random street. We had seafood again! Much to my approval! =D we had crab fried in salted eggs (I cant get enough of it!), fish, beef in a dark sauce shrimp in wine and a really good Hakka tofu.
    ***Sadly, when I got back home I was litterally crumpled on the floor with the worst case of either gastric or food poisoning for like 3 days. It was horrible.....but I'd so eat it again =x
    I really had a good time though :D But I'm soo fat now!!!
    Pam's words of wisdom: Eat today! diet? no problem! it always starts tomorrow!!! ;)
    Something you might not have known about Pamela: I fucking hate the smell of carrots. ewww. I also hate eating carrots. gross.
