Bloggity Bloggity Blog! New Blog post! mostly cuz more happening things happened (NOT really) and partly because my love has been complaining she has nothing interesting to read anymore. WELL, wouldn't want THAT to happen would we! So, time for some fun stuff!

I had a Ramen day with Lev and Gilda! we went shopping at Raffles City and discovered a mini Ramen place in the basement. It was good, but not as good as Ion's ramen store. They totally just added water to Gil's soup when she asked for it to be less salty. eek! But the food is always good when you have good company!! *loves*

Phy and I had an impromptu club night!! We hadn't had a girls night out in foreverrr! We went to Dbl O! It was so much fun! It was just like the old days! Our ever sexxxy doorbitch was there, the music was goood! and we met Simon!!-whom I hadn't seen since Thailand since he was globe trotting! (or Europe trotting if you like lol) Anyway, terrific night! We actually tried to club hop, but apparently some rules changed while I was gone. Now Attica has free entry on weds only until 1am and Zirca closes at 4am. Wth.

Phy and I went shopping one day at Bugis! We had xiao long bao and later some shisha! Muahaha! We had the cutest cat come and lie with us on our carpet! She even fell asleep in the strangest position! *awwww* *rolls around*

    lunch/ semi-dinner/ snack
    xiao long bao!
    Shisha and kebabs!
the little kitty cat that joined us in rolling around!

Friday I started my dance class! muahaha! I've joined Levyne in Reagge! Our instructor is sweet and little! lol! Actually, all the girls are quite nice. I'm finally getting some exercise! Just when I get the hang of things though, (I practice in the shower and infront of the big mirrors in my house muahaha) its Friday again and I have more things to memorize! eek! Fun stuff....I wanna pole dance next...so I have a backup job plan incase my future fails. LOL

There was a long weekend of mosying around! Friday I slept at Phylaines place because her parents went to Penang for 4 days! woo hoo!....Only to wake up the next morning because daddy wanted me to see the hotel in which the Singapore Democratic Party's 30th anniversary party is being held at and to come up with some ideas for decorations. The Concorde Hotel is actually much nicer than when it use to be Le Meridien! There was some discussion on what was to be offered and served with a nice hotel event manager. After further discussion over a buffet lunch at the Hotel Royal @ Queens, I am now the MC (Master of Ceremonies) of the event! Woo hoo!! *excited*

    Date: Saturday Febuary 27th 2010
    Time: 7:30pm
    Tickets: $50
    Dresscode: Business Casual

For more information: Dazzle with the Democrats or Facebook page

Later the same Saturday, daddy dropped me off at Phy's house again for me to continue my partay!! In the end about 15 people came (--,) the perfect ammount for a playmate pillow fight!!! There was also drinking, smoking, boardgames and poker among OTHER entertainments. LOL hehehe *secret*

    Nichelle brought her puppy!!
    "4 guys, 4 girls and a cup"
    LOL

Sunday was a gross day- as many mornings after parties are. Phy and I sat in bed while the rest were sleeping being as disgusting was you can imagine (--,) In the evening with 4 of us left, we ate at Nihon Mura!! I had no idea they have a buffet! Its a regular buffet price ($30++/pax), but true to their style, its really worth the price! There was a whole list of a-la-carte foods, rice, noodles, sashimis, whatevers- all there! I totally loved it! We ordered so much and all the food came out pretty efficiently too! hehehe The Japanese have the most addicting foods in the world! By the end of the night we were rolling out of the bulding! *happies*

    *loves*the food!
    the guys
    super delicious scallops!
    more food!

I spent the next few days of the week helping my aunt bake cookies for Rancher's Ribs's chinese new year special! We have the most delicious Pineapple tarts, almond cookies and cornflake cookies that has ever graced the planet!! It's only $21.80 per jar!! yay! I can eat an entire jar of pineapple tarts in 1 sitting =x shhh don't tell! Its so gross but I cant stop! hehehe I can confidently say you're missing out if you haven't gotten a jar!!

    hand-made cereal cookies!
    almond cookies!
    tired me!
    turtlino and turtlina!

View the menu at www.ranchersribs.com! and daddy made the website so you can order online! yay!

My little cousin Xavier turned 12!! hooray! I was invited to his birthday shindig because I'm his favorite!! but since when am I not?! hehehe We went to this new restaurant at Liang Court-Its stores are all Japanesey now- Saizeriya. Saizeriya is a Japanese-made italian restaurant. I find it really strange because fake Italian is one thing, proudly fake Italian but Japanese fusion in Singapore is another story....But anyway, the food was average. Edible but I wouldn't return. It's like microwaved food or something or at least pre-made with the bare minimum of ingredients. The store is super casual- so much so that they ask you to write your own name on a ledger for your turn to be seated. Price wise is definitely cheap- so much so that teenagers and families with young children were gathered in massive ammounts making the place very noisy and stuffy. I had the seafood pasta that was pretty ok to eat, the pizza- normal, the baked mussles a no-go and the salad I could make myself. But you never know unless you try right? lol

the effects of squid ink pasta!birthday boy and his momma!
    passing some escargot around
    me and Aunty Joyce!
    my work of art
(the corn was inedible and that was just a piece of fat from the sirloin)

Afterwards we went to Eastcoast park to have some coffee and talks. fun stuff!

One of the days I had gone to the interchange with my momma and Aunt to pick up some stuff and mail some groceries! I got a bunnch of Chinese New year decorations!! *happies* This year is the year of the tiger! rawr!

One fine Monday I went to play boardgames with Jeremy, Phy and Lynx! We found a new place ast Selegie (right under minds cafe) that was cheaper and newer and has like contol games! (Wii, PS3 etc) They had the most amazing cheese french fries ever!! We played a couple games, one being "Castle Panic" a group game that was actually quite fun lol we won! Its a group game to protect our castle. From this game, I deduce that Jeremy should never gamble.

    castle panic!
    Jer and Lynx

We had shisha later and taught the youngens how to blow the smoke out of our noses. hahaha Now if only Gandalf can teach me how to blow ships! hahaha omg that was a geeky sentence....

I had lunch with 2 of my aunts, Xavier and me little bro one day since we had to go shopping! heehee again! Ok, I was tagging along for fun. I only had to get a stick of deoderant. But McDonalds was fun. My aunt sold one of her cell phones and Ian got new shoes for school. I want new shoes too! :(

Henrik: You have an endless ammount!
    Me: noooooo!! not enough!!
Henrik: Would you try to fill an endless pit?
    Me: with shoes? YES!

I accompanied Levyne to a skin care doctor recently. Its absolutely crazy. The clinic is supposedly sooooooooooo good, they dont take reservations, they have a line starting at 4pm everyday though they only open at 7 and they only see 30 customers a day! *gasp* I hope for our 3 hours of waiting Levyne's face is smoother and more beautiful than it already is in 4 weeks!

hehe lev getting our dinner! can you spot her?

Yesterday Phy and I had a muchos tiring shopping day. We ended up buying s couple dresses that we don't like/ can't fit and settling for one that we both can for Sheryl's wedding. Muahaha! We had to get some shisha!! Just to chillax. Dipak wasn't there again! And then we couldn't smoke outside on the carpets! We had to go upstairs in the little room with no air and a barely working air-conditioner! *suffocates* What was entertaining was the other malay group sitting there though. LOL Finally my improved chinese has been put to good use! I won't mention why because I'm afraid of karma, but.............to Phy:

    "slumber party"
    "makeup" and
"if I ever get that fat starve me!/kill me!"

    Speedpost is anything but Speedy

Brief History: Henrik has sent me a package from Copenhage. He was assured the package would reach me in 4-5 days. Denmark kept their end of the bargain and it reached Singapore in 4 days. Speedpost/Singpost delayed for the longest time "sorting" my package. I called and was told to wait. Called again as they said I "missed their deliveryman" and haven't gotten a reply. So this is the "feedback" message I've sent to them:

    Hi,

I would just like to say, that there is nothing speedy about Speedpost. My boyfriend in Copenhagen, Denmark had sent a rush delivery package to me and was assured that it'd reach me in 4-5 days (mailed on Dec 19th). Indeed, Denmark had kept their end of the bargain because it reached Singapore in 4. I could check on the delivery status- where it was and what time it reached while I eagerly waited for my package. Eagerness turned to impatience when it hadn't arrived in 3 working days. I must tell you that the items in the box are extremely important as they are needed for a wedding I am to attend this coming Sunday. I called Speedpost's hotline and your operator was nothing but hasty and unhelpful, asking me to wait another day. Yesterday, the package supposedly arrived and the claim is that I hadn't answered my door. I had someone waiting in my house especially for the package and they hadn't heard anything. That possibly being my fault if your mailman had actually came, however there was no notification or letter left at my door or in my mailbox that he indeed had attempted to deliver the package. I have called your ever apathetic operator again this morning and she has informed me that I will have to arrange for a meeting time or a pickup time, though there are no available slots today. After letting her know that this package is important, she agreed to try to set up a pick up time, took my number and promised to return my call. I am still waiting for that call. I have enquired as to why the mailman did not call me as my boyfriend had written my phone number on the package; I was told that your mailmen do not carry cellular phones. Either I have just been lied to, or I would suggest your company improves its customer service by having some sort of phone service for better efficiency or common sense. I am a 5'1" girl and about 120lbs. My package is 6-8kg. It would've been nice if I had some sort of reliable local mail service to depend on. Maybe next time for big packages I will try another courier service. Thank you for taking the time to read my feedback.

P.S. I find it amusing that you have a tab for "compliments" when you have such slow, shitty service.

hahaha. I really do find it amusing they have a whole "compliments" tab as if so many people write in with compliments. Comments I would understand......and then after I had sent the feedback, this is what their automated reply is:

    Thank you for contacting SingPost.

For Enquiries/Feedback, we will respond to you within 3 working days.

If you have sent us a Compliment. We are happy to have served you well.

Your compliment will be conveyed to the personnel or department and they will be commended accordingly.

    Have a pleasant day!

    Feedback Team
    Customer Service
(Operating hours: Monday - Friday: 8.30am to 6pm)

The balls they have are so big it's blinded them! Sounds like they treat compliment letters with more efficiency. Maybe I should've filed my feedback under compliments just so it'd get read first.

Helloooo loves! Happy New Year! Time for the first post of the new year! The past week or so hasn't been terribly exciting so I didn't really have anything to blog about. hahaha

    Lets see......

On New years eve I went shopping with Phy! We went to through orchard getting blingblings and head bands! I discovered a new Quiznos at Somerset 313. Woo Hoo! Singapore is feeling more and more like home! Now I'm just waiting for T.G.I. Friday's to open. I did hear the Wendy's had opened but I still haven't visited, nor do i know where it actually is. haha.

Anyway, that was fun. I met Ah Ben at Boonlay (SO FAR!!) to have dinner with Lev and the rest. For some reason they picked the furthest place from life in Singapore. Then we headed to Kent Ridge to watch the fireworks. It was surprisingly crowded (but these days where is there in Sg that isn't) with families, couples and groups of friends. Some were picnic-ing and others were playing with sparklers. We didn't see the fireworks because a bunch of trees were blocking, but there was a small countdown within the people. Can't say it was the most fun NYE I've ever had, but I can say it was the most sober one in about 6 years :(

    dinner!
    Waiting for the fireworks
    Kids playing on a tank
    people playing sparklers
    discussing something important
    cheese!

I saw Avatar with Michael, Lun and Levyne! Finally! It was really good! I enjoyed it a lot! I did see quite abit of political satire towards the US in it- I'm pretty sure if you've seen it you'd have caught it too. Also, if you read lamebook.com the story is pretty much like the story of Pocohontus. LOL In either case, the graphics were still awesome and there was a little bit of everything in it (war, romance, bravery etc).

Afterwards we had steamboat at Jin's Deli! Jin's Deli had moved to Chinatown!! When I came back from Compenhagen and was told it was gone, I'd thought I'd lost my favorite steamboat restaurant forever!! But I found it! Facebook is very handy these days (--,) Everything is the same, except now they have more space! Yummm!!

    take 1
We ended the night at Mr. Beans! And pui pui to their green colored peppermint drink!

    new headband! hehe

Phy and I had a late night run to Popeye's one fine Tuesday night if I remember correctly! They had opened one at Tampines mall which is conveniently right inbetween our houses! (Its fate I tell you!) Who knew it was so popular though! The line to get fried chicken was horrendous! and people even ate while standing outside of it....gee, I like their chicken and mashed potatoes but not to an extent that i'd stand up to eat it with no proper table! But then again, some people say standing is good for digestion! Whatever makes you happy then!

    YUMM!

Phy and I went for lunch one day and got Chee Chong Fun (fat white rice noodles) at Killeny! I hadn't been there in so freaking long- probably around 2 years-and everything was exactly the same! Same deliciousness, same menu, same everything! *happies*

Note to myself: this hairstyle is not very photo friendly

Phy and I met Sheryl and Spencer at Somerset 313 (haha seems like our new meeting spot) for dinner and a wedding discussion! hehe! We're her bridesmaids! *excited* We still have yet to find approprite dresses, but at least we have the chinese tradition of cruel "obstacles" (the groom must overcome to win his bride) planned!!hehe I must say, though Marche is in a new location, it remains the same with low quality and high prices.

    Phy and Sheryl
    Spencer
    Scandalous goats!!

One of the recent days, I met up with Nichelle and Grace at Bugis! It had been awhile since I'd been there too! lol the whole place had changed after renovations. Theres so many more stores everywhere and it was seemingly crowded for a weekday! Of course the type of crowd of ah lians and ah bengs hadn't changed though. hahaa. The food center behind it did reopen (finally!).....remind me to try it one day when I'm not on a diet!

Anyway, the day was great! Grace treated me to dinner at V8. They seem to still be doing quite well. It was so weird though.....I ordered a chicken cutlet and it came with tartar sauce. So I'd thought that they'd given me the wrong sauce- as everyone knows tartar sauce goes with deepfried fish (if you didn't I'm telling you now!). So, I call the waiter over to inform him I have tartar sauce and he goes "yes m'am, would you like tobassco sauce" and I'm like no, but I have a chicken cutlet. He looks at me again and says, "yes m'am that's the sauce we serve it with". I sat there stunned for a moment before excusing him to continue with my ketchup (already on the table). Ohhh Asia, whatever will I do with you. Other than their food and its proper accompanying condiment confusion, their food is still as delicious from when i first started eating there!

Grace didn't wear any makeup so I wasn't allowed to take pictures of her face.............
So i took pictures of her boobies!
    Nichelle
    me!

After shopping around abit, Nichelle, Grace and I settled at TCC for some coll drinks and gossip! Love you girls!

Yumm! Mine is the different one! and grace is the one with no "hair" LOL

I went to Chinatown with Damien and Nichelle for dinner! Chinatown is starting to get all exciting because Chinese New Year is just around the corner! They'd already started selling decorations and stuff. Woo hoo! I want to get more Zhao Cai Maos!! Huat ar!

While ordering my food I got to talk to this elderly German gentleman who couldn't order his food properly because the lady didn't understand him. Muahaha I remember those days! After abit of conversation, I learned that he'd been living in Singapore for 3.5 years already! What?! 3.5 years and he still doesn't know how to order food to-go? hmmm, and he was fluent in German, Russian and French. Me thinks its time for him to start picking up Mandarin! You know the asians will take over the world one day!!!

Mandatory full length mirror toilet shot with the matching plaid shirts we bought at Bugis!

Anyway, after dinner (finally kung pao chicken to go!- I'd always thought Singapore didn't have kung pao chicken in fast food form like in the US, apparently I wasn't looking hard enough!) we went to the Central for a jacuzzi session! That was rather interesting. Someone brought their beautiful husky who was prancing around the pool running away from its owner! lol (note to Henrik: see!! smaller dogs are better because they're more afriad of the world, thus will stick to you)

One Sunday, I met Ravin and his cousin from Australia and her boyfriend! His cousin Vaenita will be in Singapore for a month! woot woot! about time I headed back to the clubs! hehehe. They were very nice people. We went for shisha and visited Dipak after dinner! *happies*

Good news everyone! I found my smart glasses! Turns out, they were in my closet all along! hehe! I missed them so much I wore them to dinner with my family! We went to Lavendar's famous hawker center. I hadn't been there in forever too! While I was gone, they renovated the place to a mich cleaner, more airy environment. Love it! A few of the stores had changed their image too but the food remained delicious! love it! Sadly though, our favorite xiao long bao and dumpling store went missing! In its place is another dumpling store with the same pictures and prices but their dumplings taste like crap and the cooks are China chinese! *sadded* On the bright side, the beef noodle store is still there, with stilll the same old chef and is still my favorite!!!

    Daddy and Ian
little bro in the car with my smart glasses

Pam's observations: People say little India stinks....Chinatown doesn't smell any better =/

I recieved a mail from Joan and Peter!! (Henrik's brother and sister-in-law) I belated Christmas present of hair blings and eyeshadow! *happies* It was such a surprise!! Though late, its the thought that counts!! and Henrik knew about it!! How sneaky!! What happened to not keeping secrets from me eh......(--,) *happies!*

As most of you know, I freaking LOVE Lady Gaga!!! I think she lost some weight or something since her last music videos because her head is shaped super weird. But maybe its just her head shape? I don't know, but i think she looked better in the previous videos. Anyway, I still love her, I still love her fashion! Heres her new video! *loves*

Speaking of Lady Gaga, she was appointed Polaroid's new creative director! Polaroids are back in! Starting with the PIC-1000! I want one! hehe
